Nice little benefit on the Italian roll; if the inside of the cuff is a different colour to the shirt, you can leave a line of the inside showing above the roll. Just adds a nice little detail and works to add variation

depends on the size of your arms to shirt ratio but sometimes you can roll up your sleeves and button it in reverse whilst rolled up for a tidy sturdy roll, I work in a body shop so these comes in handy for mixing paint etc. i'm not worried it'll fall down and ruin the sleeves

The master roll is also the one to use with shirts that have a second color on the inside of the cuff. You just let about an inch of the bottom fold to show and it looks very nice.

Oh thanks, that's some help AoM, will try that "master roll" so as to make the shirt more secured. I'm folding my sleeves similar to the master one, except it's a single fold only and it reaches up to the upper arm. It also leaves little wrinkles, but it does tend to not hold itself either. Good for lunches and coffee break tho, easy to pull up and roll down. :)

There is also the inverse forearm or "Hitchens" roll. It's the same as the casual roll, except you roll inside the sleeve instead of outside the sleeve. It's a very secure roll, and has a very clean appearance.

I generally like to roll my sleeves. But it usually makes the arms on the shirts very tight. If i get bigger shirts, i get floppy shirts that looks three sizes too large. Any suggestions? Very helpful video. These are the kind of videos i really appreciate.

ZeaMoore4 I have the same problem. I don't have huge arms but I can't roll my sleeves higher than below my elbow and even then my arms look like dicks because of the forearm veins that start to pop out. So I usually just fold the cuff inside out and pull it back a bit (gauntlet buttoned) and adjust it every now and then. If that's not your thing, the master roll where you just roll it once(so it's a bit looser) has worked for me too.

Nikki Cox I tried trimming eyebrows in the past and honestly they look 100% more stupid when you try to mess with them. Let the shit grow as it does and it'll probably look better. If there's a couple of crazy hairs just pluck em or trim the one or two culprits with a scissor so they're flush with the others.

Hmm. I never unbutton the gauntlet. Also I always spent time smoothing out the button area after the roll to give a uniform band all the way around rather than the crinkled mass at the back of the elbow. I have little knowledge of this so maybe I have been doing more work than necessary.
