Thank you sooooo much!!!! Ihelped work on dryers with a girlfriend across the country years back for gas money to make it home and I only weigh 105 lbs. but I have to say this is the best tutorial I've seen!! I got the drum out and everything was lightweight. forget paying someone to come out for hundreds of dollars. you are awesome!!

Great video guys! Important thing for everyone to remember is check this if the dryer is not running at the correct temperature. Also check for blockages and if the unit is too close to the wall.

Should this part be able to be tested with a multimeter? I have a new one that won’t register
@DavidCareyFoster6 жыл бұрын
Would this part also be a good candidate to change if the drying is locked up with a flashing "flow sensing" and "drying" lights? The vent is clear.

Simply great. You guys help me save at least $350!!! I’m kind of handy, but without this video I would have to pay for a technician. It’s extremely clear and doesn’t skip a single step. Only one question. The video says that the drum’s pink tape goes back. First time I open my dryer and it was in front. Any ideas? Thanks a lot.
@rh71el23 жыл бұрын
Would this part also cause the dryer to run longer than it should? On normal mode it uses the "moisture sensor" and it runs for over 1.5 hours and the clothes are already hot and dry, yet it didn't stop and still shows 9 minutes left the last 2 times. It showed 44 minutes before even starting the cycle so not sure why it runs this long.

I replaced the heater element and all the sensors on it. Will this cause the element from not turning on period? I had an he code and then put in a new element. Code is gone now and now it seems the element won't even heat up. I checked the wiring to see if I forgot to plug anything in but everything seems to check out.

Do it matter which side the thermistor is plugged to the blue or red wire
@appliancepartspros8 жыл бұрын
+Shamard Jackson We always say in the videos to replace the wires in the same place you took them off. A thermistor is not polarity sensitive so it should work if you swapped the wires. Hope the video helped you get the dryer running!
@shamardjackson50018 жыл бұрын
Thanks Sir. I was wondering about the polarity of the thermistor because I didn't here it mentioned in the video. Thanks again
@stevenward6664 Жыл бұрын
@@shamardjackson5001 It did say blue wire on top. But it did not say anything about thermistor only fitting one way "correct prong up" like idiot-proof installation.

I’m sorry, but this a clear criticism against Samsung (not the video instructions) but that is one of the most ridiculous places to put the dang sensor for ease of repair. Can’t remember what brand my wife had before we got married since it’s been quite a few years - but on that old dryer it was one of the easiest parts to replace. This is a joke, Samsung!!! unbelievable that I’d need to watch a video with this many steps just to replace a $20 part. My gosh. Thank goodness there are videos like this otherwise I’d be consulting the manual or talking with an associate at a local ma/pa appliance hardware store for instructions…. Ain’t no way I’m gonna spend hours on the phone with Samsung on how to maneuver through all this stupidity.

In the newer ones they have put it right behind the door. So you do not have to remove the drum.
@raterus6 жыл бұрын
It's really not that difficult to access, yes you have to take everything apart, but that really only takes about 15-20 minutes if you go in knowing what to do.

If the thermistor goes bad. Does it cause the thermal fuse to keep tripping?
@burleydad4 ай бұрын
You have to remove the drum to replace a consumable part. Samsung: Tell me you knew nothing about dryers without TELLING me you knew nothing about dryers. This rediculous service would be OK if these were more reliable than old school dryers where all you had to do was remove the back panel to replace consumables; They aren't.
