I get stressed thinking about starting at a gym. But my mum got me into going to my local community centre walking track. Slowly but surely I’m getting more and more brave to work out, not just work about but work out in public. It was like $25 for the year to use the only walking track. So it’s low stakes if I fall off, not as scary as it’s just walking, and I can do it in the freezing winter.

I had horrid anxiety about the gym. I even had a small panic attack in the car when my partner was driving me there for the first time but after the first session I realised I LOVED it. At first, I went with my partner who’s a bodybuilder so knew what he was doing. Now I go while he’s at work and the kids are at school. I start with a little cardio, then do machines but I’ve recently started to lift weights too. I was so scared about people looking at me and I would always be looking around and no one ever glanced my way. I always thought people were lying when they’d say the gym helps mental health but now I can honestly say, as someone with borderline personality disorder and ptsd, the gym is great for my mental health!

One thing that stood out to me was the fact it takes your body a long time to see the physical progress. And the same goes when you have a “cheat meal” or enjoy a dessert or maybe a eat a bit more then you wanted one day or miss a work out or two, those one offs will NOT RUIN your progress. Your body can adapt and if you stray away from your plan once in a while will not undo everything you’ve worked for :)

I am learning how important sleep is. I used to have such bad insomnia because I was working shift work and it messed with my sleep schedule so bad. I would try to sleep but would never feel rested. I would take anything and everything I could to try to get some sleep, and it stopped working because my body got used to it. Now that I started my new job, Im in bed by 8 every night but I'm up at 5 (I set an alarm for 6) but still manage to wake up before and I feel more rested. I also don't take sleeping aids anymore. Even on my days off Im up at 5. It's an amazing feeling.

I just found your channel and I LOVE how real you are! I’m a 32yr old stay at home mom of 3. I grew up being super skinny, when I was 21 I weighed 105lbs (5’3), but when I had my first kid I gained 50lbs. With my last child I weighed 200lbs when I gave birth in 2018. I’m currently at 163lbs. I’ve been stuck at 150-170lbs for years!!! This year all my kids are in school and I decided this is the time for me to do something for myself. I’m starting slow, going for a walk every day and doing some workouts, also started eating healthier and cutting out my sweets cravings and alcohol. A good alternative for those when I’m craving it is a mocktail and quest makes really yummy peanut butter cups that don’t have a lot of sugar or carbs.

Okay this is crazy cause it sounds just like me! I’m 5’2 and stuck between 150-160. Stay at home mom of 3. Was 110lbs in high school and gained all my weight during the pandemic. All my kids are in school now so I’m trying to get back down to a healthy weight since I’m done having kids! Cheers to you girl! You can do it! 🎉

Twinning…or tripletling? 5’2”, 102 my senior year in high school. I’m 35 now, 3 boys ages 2.5-7. I am currently 134lbs but gained 60-80lbs during each pregnancy. I used WW to lose weight after each baby successfully (then immediately got knocked up again when I was at goal weight haha). Anyways, I’m working towards 115-120 now. I am successfully using WW for my calorie deficit and have been finally working out consistently for 3 weeks now. One 30 mins incline walking and one 30 mins strength training each day with dumbbells/body weight. One rest day per week. How are yall doing with progress?

This is me 5.2 stuck at 160lbs . Previous up until the pandemic always been between 110lb-120lb even after pregnancy. I’ve alway been pretty physically active but generally eaten what I want . I think hitting mid 30s I need to accept my metabolism is slowing down 😢 and I need to be more mindful what I put in my body

Fitness and nutrition is what I love so much !!! Thanks for talking and sharing your thoughts, experiences, and insights. I love your videos! Keep up the great work 💪🏽. Some tips I have learned throughout the years: 1. Love yourself and do things that make you happy! 2. Find/test out different activities, like weightlifting, working out different muscle groups, try the bike or any other form of cardio. My personal favorite is jumping rope, weightlifting, doing ab workouts, push-ups, and taking my pup for walks ! 3. Cook your favorite foods, try different methods, have fun in the kitchen. Enjoy life! Make sure you are getting in nutrients. Drink water 💦 4. Take care of yourself and your loved ones. This is a journey that will make your life truly better. Every day is a gift. Nobody is perfect !! Especially because everyone has their own lives. Let’s make it count !

When I started exercise plan..I seen a video about just getting scale that shows BMI and water weight. Because we do fluctuate day to day especially when curting calories and exercise more. This helped so much. I did gain in the beginning my clothes were tight, thats because muscle was building under that fluffy layer...but as ling as the BMI number was going down I knew I was on the right track. After 4 weeks , my clothes started to fit different 6 weeks everyone noticed..keep it up. You will be hungrier protein makes you feel fuller longer and feeds those muscles.
