This is a major problem of car ownership that you have addressed. Somethings I have learned: 1. Rats don't like strong smells and that means the tobacco smell works well. Other strong smells also work 2. Car interior should be very clean. Food remains even a tiny bit attracts them. 3. Once Rats come in they leave their fecal matter that attract them to the same place again. So have to deodorize completely. Carpet shampooing and steam cleaning of interior recommended for this 4. Park the car in different places or orientations. Sometimes it makes the Rats lose track as they follow trails

Nothing works better. There is a smell in rat poop that brings the rat back to car again. Rat enter through front wheel axil ,then engine ,then through AC vent row to dashboard which is hollow. Put Chilli powder , lal mirch powder two packets entirely on the engine in and around. This makes rat smell irritating and don't try to enter. Recommend with personal experience. Have put rat mesh , rat trap, rat siren . But Red chilli powder is the best.

@@simplesolutions-sv3me Rat mesh is not recommended. As some cars have engine drop feature which avoids the engine entering the cockpit when there is any impact. When you put a rat mesh it stops the engine drop and enters the cockpit when there is any impact, and even five-star rating car cannot assure you the safety if this happens.

Add +25% on all costs mentioned for parts and factor an additional ₹1lakh for gearbox overhaul (DSG clutch). Maintenance will be expensive, so make an informed decision. According to me. Buy it if you already have a reliable car in the garage for daily use.

same here sir.. i have tried everything on Earth (pugayelai, garlic spray, strong puerfumes,3m Rat Repellant, naphthalene balls and even the ultrasonic device ) still Rat enters my car. Only happiness I have now after spending soo much on my KIA SELTOS, almost 5 bottles of 3m Spray.. (used every 5 days on all wires) rat do come but spares the wire, but they leave to much of droppings.. So. every day I clean them before i start my SUV , keep spending.. and no peace of mind, as I have spend a huge money to repair my new SUV in first attack... guys any other way to stop them ???

@@ARAKKAN2020 you have to find a way to keep a physical barrier to these rodents. I used a steel mesh to cover the entire perimeter around my car and that worked well. You can see that kind of projects in KZbin.
