Brilliant informative content as always. Previously many of the people who have watched this video, may have followed this protocol to calculate their FTP. With the advent of Zwift I am many cyclists will have transitioned to the Zwift 1min incremental ramp test and rely on there Garmin (no idea how it does it) to assess there Vo2. I have also noted Zwift power references my MAP post test. Is there down sides to this approach? Any feed back would be appreciated. Thank you

Garmin uses MHR and rHR to calculate your vo2 (measuring movement) I find the one minute ramps don’t create such an accurate aerobic power measurement. However you must use what works for you. I would personally try this MAP approach and measure against the Zwift estimated one

Which workout builder canbe used to create absolute value (watts) intervals? TP and TR both only allow % of FTP? Thanks

Yep Zwift is easiest but you can get to at least 1w below and 1w above in TP so ERG finds the middle 👍

Awesome content 👌🏽. As a beginner doing 3 hours a week. One hour each on indoor trainer. Should i do only zone 2, or should i do once a week vo2 intervals? Or maybe finish last 20minutes once a week? Whats your opinion? 🙏

Danke! Without heartrate sounds like what i need for now. Ijust have to play this at slowmotion so I can translate, comprehend and follow :-) I m going to be 100 first, the Hour is my goal too.

When looking at geometry they should all have similar angles, depending on toe overlap. However, I don’t understand stack and reach specs. When measuring these on the bike it shouldn’t include the stem, bars and setback, should they? All of those should be measured during the bikefit.

Coach, can I politely suggest that you check out the You Tube vids by Lee aka Kent carnivore. Diverticulitis is awful, and unnecessary. Lee ended up with a full colostomy in his early 30s. You may not agree with him, on the other hand….
