Fantastic videos, you cut out all the unnecessary jargon and show people clearly how to achieve what they are looking for! Been match fishing 40 years and I have learned something. Love your channel mate, keep up the good work!! 👍🏻

Brilliant video. Twizzling the line before creating the loop and double fig8. Never even considered that but there you go, every day is a learning day!

Just found your chanel. Love the 'uncomplicated 'way you express things. Instant subscription. I have been tying my own hooks for ages ,but still learn new tips. The follow up video about loop tying is good ,but I don't use that type of tyer . I like the Preston 4 loop tool. It gives the option of 8 10 12 and 15 mm loops. Be great to see you show one of these. I have also noticed 1 particular thing about you and your chanel. And that is unlike other people, you actually find time to reply and comment. I find that very refreshing. Love all the videos mate 👍🎣

Barrie! Welcome to the channel! You’re the exact type of person I set this channel up for! I was sick of the ‘complex’, ‘serious’ and ‘polished’ videos where everyone said “look at my product, it’s obviously amazing!” So I wanted to set an ‘earthy’, ‘honest’ and ‘basic’ review/show-and-tell channel for people like me! I’ve been going 6 months now and reliant on spread of word and recommendations. I completely understand that my style and way I do things might not be for everyone, but the one thing I will always do, is ensure honesty, integrity and respect is carried out in everything I do… and of course, if people make the time to comment, ask questions and support me with the channel, I will most certainly make that effort back! I’m a Paramedic for my day (/night) job and enjoy helping people… I love fishing, and want to help people that too! It’s funny you say about the hook tyer… someone else said the same the other day! I need to look into that! Tight lines Barrie and thanks for being part of the channel 👍🏻 BB

@@FirstTimeFishing well I like the "earthy approach " Also the quick response. On a personal level out of fishing, you do an amazing job total respect. Always use guru hooks and gauge for hook length.

@@BazAmanda60 I had a match today and used a Preston Banjo XR with X-Safe stem (I put the feeder in a vice and clamped it tight on the stem) and Guru QM1 hooks today… I was broke 6 times!!! I’m thinking I bought a bad batch of pre-made hooks, but I normally have no issues! Took 3rd with 90lb 8oz, so not too bad today 👍🏻 BB

@@FirstTimeFishing I didn't fish today. I don't use qm1 i prefer pellet waggler hooks, i did have a spell with matrix mxc6 but went back to pwh. Never had a problem with the hooks. That's a good eeight.

@@BazAmanda60 thanks Barrie mate, where do you tend to mostly fish, where you from? I may have to give the PWH a try! 👍🏻 BB

I'd like to tie banded hairs to hooks, but without a hook length. I just want a hair-banded hook. To be super-clear, I want to tie the hair-banded hook direct to the main (reel) line, rather than creating a hook length that's then joined to the main line (greater strength overall and also easier to store). There are many videos out there showing how to use the knotless knot to create hair-banded hook lengths, but that knot only works when it passes through the hook and onto/into a hook length. Any ideas?

@@josephhutchinson8121 😂 no worries Joseph… I haven’t done a pellet waggler video… do plan to this summer as I only tend to fish a 6”-3’ depth pellet wag in the summer… and it can be devastating! As for starting long or short, completely depends on the venue and where the fish are… the other big decision is the depth to fish at… I love fishing long by some reeds or lilys at about 12” deep and watching the reeds swirl! 👍🏻 BB
