Um, the audio extractor/hdmi splitter does it have HDR 4k passthrough? If not then you will lose those features. I would recommend a way cheaper alternative. Plug the elgato link cable to the bottom of the controller and plug it into the input of the go XLR mini and buy a little boom lepel mic and run it and secure it close to the XLR mic you use to stream. Then so the rest of the settings. You get 4k HDR picture, get mic and sound through the input. Then adjust mic levels of game chat in the ps5 and then control mic and game sound in one dial. So much easier. Little more wires on your controller but no biggy. Cheaper, easier, and way better

Hey Simon can you show us how exactly your wires are set up with the TESmart? I'm looking into going with this set up and purchasing an goxlr, because my elgato wave 3 microphone is having issues with its virtual wave link mixer so I needed to go with this set up but I don't quite understand what you meant with your wires set up in the TESmart or could you elaborate in comments to me to help me?

Nice video mate but my question is! When you connect the Toslink to the GoXLR, what kind of sound are you getting from your headphones connected to the GoXLR coming from the PS5? Is it stereo or what! I do not want to lose the multi channel audio coming from my mixamp...I hope you get the question and thanks.

So just trying to get this right...Output to Elgato IN on PC, Input to PS5? Now if my switch has an Output B slot can I plug that into a third monitor so I would have two monitors for my stream and one monitor for my game? Would that work?

It’s like this From the console(s) -> one of the IN ports on the switch From OUT port of the switch -> Elgato IN Elgato OUT -> desired monitor where you’ll be playing your game

Am I the only person that wants to use the tc helicon go xlr as an input in my ps5 to stream directly from my ps5 and have the option to connect microphone and music into the ps5 and stream??? I want to use my own music and even be able to make my own music during the stream.

Hmmmm…I never thought of this. Not sure if the PS5 would recognize the GOXLR as the software needed for it is only available on a PC. Sonys PlayStation operating system seems to be hard coded for specific (perhaps proprietary) devices that are able to be recognized as inputs

Don’t know if this was ever answered for you but I’m able to chat with people on Xbox live with my shure sm7b through the GOXLR mini WITHOUT using this workaround

Solid video my man. Question though, any idea how this works for game chat in stream? I have a PS5 and I can get my audio into stream no problem with the elgato HD60S, but I have a Hanley setup for chat audio, in which I’d like to resolve. Would like to get a goxlr (finally back in stock) but I want to find a better solution for chat audio than I’m already using. If it, all good, thank you for this informational video anyway!!

Sorry for late reply. I am not too sure about the in-game chat audio as that is not something I do myself when streaming. I believe you would have to use a usb soundcard connected to the PS5 with 2x 3.5mm audio ports. In the PS5 settings you should be able to set this to handle the voice chat only and you can then cable the soundcard to one of the ports on goxlr with a 3.5mm cable. I hope you check this, i have done the same and all the audio comes in fine i just cant seem to find the "console" option in any of the audio settings on my computer. I see every other slider option being listed except for the "Console" option. Were you able to figure that out?
