I would hate for the Mavs to trade away Grimes but I know that the Mavs are gonna be searching for frontcourt depth to pair with PJ but trading away Grimes would be a mistake. If you're gonna go for an elite wing player, it would be Herb Jones but he's hurt right now and his trade stock could be plummeting. I dont want the Mavericks to go after Jimmy Butler because it will deplete your roster a lot. How do you guys feel about guys like Obi Toppin, and Kelly Olynyk as cheap rental options for the Mavs?

Quentin Grimes accelerates the PH balance of my hou-ha. As long as he keeps the defense up he will be an awesome 6th man for the Mavs in the post season. let him ball out show his stuff and get a payday after winning us a chip. Him and Klay (who i love) can be a great switch to when they have more guards and Luka can pick up the D on a bigger guy. Thats what she said.
@whocares3201Күн бұрын
Always have to look for disgruntled players, talents in terrible situations (teams) or underperforming talent. Never go after the big trade market targets in current league. Right now some targets for the Mavs at the backup 4/small ball 5 should be Stewart, Toppin, maybe Nance (always injured so idk), Aldama or Clarke etc. There are always oportunities around the league.
@justap7164Күн бұрын

Kyrie > Brunson. every time Knicks play a good team it becomes clear Brunson cant score or play make end game. Kat will disappear, OG/Bridges not reliable and Brunson cant overcome it when this happens. Kyrie you cant say that at all if anything its the other way around when others disappear he consistently steps up in the 4th.

He can’t bro, he’s a restricted free agent (RFA) which means we can match any offer he gets…and we have his bird rights which means we can match any amount, even if it puts us way over the cap
@countfloydschillerhorrorth2090Күн бұрын
Nico low balled DJJ. Everyone of us thought we would be lucky if he stayed for the Full MLE. They offered him 8.5 which he rejected and they gave to Naji(I love Naji, but he's not a POA defender unless they are Forwards) and that 8.5 is what they offered Grimes. They should have gave him the same contract he gave Green. As he's the Decisive Green he paid him to be(but wasn't). I'm not saying it was terrible before the season. But a month in, he should have seen that he's already a better Green replacement. I doubt he would have risked injury and not playing after last season over 1.5 mil. (as he wanted 14 a year) expecially since this would be his first real bag(which is why Brunson was willing to accept 12.5 a year) till Luka got hurt and he played himself into a stars contract. The more luka is out and therefore the more Grimes plays. It looks like the higher his contract is going to be.

@@countfloydschillerhorrorth2090 shut up Klutch troll! 👿 Mavs offered market value (same as Clippers over 3 years) but DJJ signed with Klutch and the Rich Paul deception and manipulation began…refused to respond to the Mavs, tried to make them miss out on Klay so that the Lakers/Levron could get him Nico was smart, he realised DJJ had no intention of signing with Mavs so quickly moved on…much better outcome for the Mavs…DJJ was one-dimensional
@countfloydschillerhorrorth2090Күн бұрын
@@Velveteenvision Yeah but they got to pay him to keep him. Nico short changed DJJ and he left within the hour. DJJ is like Herb Jones but on the next lower level. Instead of givng DJJ what everyone expected (12.5) apparently could have given him less but not the 8.5 offer. Now there is talk of Herb Jones. Who would be great. But your talking maybe 3 1s and Omax and Hardy with maxi or Powell thrown in for salary match. I think it's obviously they should have resigned DJJ and then traded some 2nds etc for Naji who the pels were not resigning. They still could get grimes and Klay. Only this way they keep that top 3 defense(and then it becomes the top with grimes and Naji added). and you got the more consistant and reliable THJ microwave off the bench. Either way. They didn't pay him and if they gonna pay grimes. I'd go ahead and extend him now.

Enjoy your show but dude are you watching the same players we are watching???? Grimes is a good role player, why do i refer to as only good? My opinion and must be answered in 2 matters in comparison to LaBron. Even at 40 years old if we are in a win now mode in a second id trade Grimes & PJ and a second pick for LaBron. Can you imagine a 10 player playoff rotation of Luka, Irving, Naji, LaBron & Liv with the backup 5 of SD, Hardy, Klay, OMax or Maxi & Gafford. The big question is can we keep Grimes and get a solid backup 4 for Maxi which clearly is our biggest need when we are healthy. Then simply do a straight up Maxi & Second or throw in Morris/Powell for salary filler and go get Toppin/Nance (Jones was #1 before injuries) then go get 1 backup point of attack D oriented point guard. There is a reason Thunder went and got Curiso even though they have Dort and Williams both above avg defenders? Why? To defend on ANT & Luka. To get out of the West they needed defenders for dominate guards. They also went and got Hartenstien even though they gave Chet? Why? To D up on Joker. Great upper management understand you need highest quality defender to stop the best players in the playoffs. Grimes is good yes keep him yes but night in night out if he draws coverage of Dort or Curiso like PJ they simply can not be a consistent top 3 performer.
