Your method is perfect. My Fast Feeds are now zero gapped, and without any issues. Thanks for posting!

Out of all the videos I watched to perform this zero gap operation, this was by far the best! Please consider doing a video to replace the metal moving cutter blade with a ceramic blade.

Just had to do this when my andis ceramic blade had a slight high point in the middle of the blade. Now I’m just using the stock blade with this mod, thanks bro. 👍

For any viewers in the future.. just buy a classic 76 #1 blade and it’s perfect.. and you don’t have to cut pieces in your clipper.

Can you help me. Mine is pulling my hair and not cutting properly, what could be the issue?
@rayd4084 жыл бұрын
I should have done this instead of getting the Andis ceramic blade. The andis blade is wider and you will not be able to use your oster guards. The blade will hit the guards making them loud and unable to cut as good. No one tells you this in all the zero gap videos. Fast feeds with the andis ceramic blade is good if you plan to just use it to fade and not use any guards.

If you zero gap with an Andis Course Ceramic Blade, you should pick up a set of Andis Master DUAL Magnetic Comb Set. They are better comb set, in my opinion. Just make sure they are the purple, DUAL magnet jawns. Andis does also sell purple, SINGLE magnet combs. I have zero gapped Oster Fast Feeds both ways and both ways work great, it comes down to preference.

Why not loosen the screws and slide the blade like every other clipper?

Because it doesn't work

Time to use all the metal blades I’ve been swapping out for people over the years 🥴🤘🏽
@strinity5112 жыл бұрын
Better way is to use some good round gun files and just file back the screw holes instead of cutting the backs out.

Very smart bro. Nice mod!! Now I don't have to buy the speed lines lol. What would you rate the 0? 000-000000

What would happened if the two screws holding the metal plate that you cut got loose from usages? Would the metal plate move up with the cutting blade and cut you?
@cuppabeans7 жыл бұрын
kyanledesign it'd be pretty bad if they went loose but they haven't for me and it's been almost 2 years! Just make sure you really tighten the screws.
@InfamousPlatoon2 жыл бұрын
Put some lock tight on the thread of the screws before you tighten them to have it even less likely that the screws will become lose

Can you use this methods with a ceramic blade? It's longer than the standard blade.
@cuppabeans7 жыл бұрын
I believe you wouldn't have to do this if you get the ceramic blade, it'll be long enough to zero gap it from what I've seen in other videos

@willienle5 жыл бұрын
mario figueroa hahaha. Ceramic can help zero gapped wo moding and help the blade stay cooler and sharp longer.. Other than that nothing else.
@Reborn952 жыл бұрын
It saves you the labor of doing the mod and in my opinion the blends come out much more smoother with the ceramic, especially with the Andis Medium Cutter blade
@mattrich19867 жыл бұрын
Just buy a ceramic bottom blade. It takes less than 5 minutes to do, you can potentially mess your blades up with this mod.
@Deon0026yickadee5 жыл бұрын
Matthew Richardson So you think just adding the Ceramic blade is enough. So have you done this?
@Hopewe1l5 жыл бұрын
Deon 0026 He’s saying, you DON’T need to do this. Just buy a ceramic blade. Then, there is no need to do all the stuff you just watched in the video. Good luck though.

The Oster Fast Feed has been around forever. It's hard to believe that Oster doesn't sell a piece that is already channeled and relies on the user to fabricate it themselves. Don't get me wrong. I appreciate the tutorial video but Oster Inc. has to do a better job here.
@nethercuttz11 ай бұрын
They do, this tutorial is a huge waste. Just use a number 1 blade from a classic 76.
@Cael_Roschild7 жыл бұрын
Does it decrease the opening of the blade?

Calebe Roschild nope, works just the same as if you didn’t modify it!
