In the world of prison, where resources are scarce and survival often depends on one's resourcefulness, Larry Lawton offers a glimpse into the ingenious ways inmates generate income. Money is a valuable commodity behind bars, and Larry's experiences shed light on the art of making money in a restricted environment.
One of the methods he employed to generate income was through the production and sale of homemade wine. Larry Lawton's expertise in crafting prison wine, sometimes known as "pruno" or "white lightning," became a means of financial gain within the confines of the correctional facility. His story reveals the meticulous process he used to ferment this improvised alcoholic beverage.
The process often involved utilizing whatever ingredients were accessible, such as fruit, sugar, and yeast. These ingredients were combined and carefully fermented, resulting in a product that could be bartered or sold among inmates. Larry's ability to navigate the prison economy by providing this sought-after item showcases the resourcefulness that can develop within the confines of prison life.
In summary, Larry Lawton's account provides insights into how he made money by crafting and selling prison wine, shedding light on the inventive ways inmates generate income while incarcerated, without delving into events that occurred after his time in prison.
I do not condone any of the negative behavior described. I have learned from the mistakes I have made and do not wish for anyone to recreate or attempt any of the events described.

Even though most of the shit Lawton tells us sounds like a nightmare or at the very least completely messed up, I just cant keep from smiling and I feel I'm in a very good place. Listening to him, and the way he tells us. It's so captivating from the very first sentence to the last. The strength of this mans spirit is just phenomenal. for what he's been through, and to not have had it completely shattered. ....Dear Lawton. I know I will never be able to find the words to express my respect, for you as the person you have become. Your life has been a tough and merciless teacher on you, but you have managed to take those lessons with you and turn them into something beautiful. I wish you many many years of happiness. I'm not religious and don't know if you are, but I will still pray that love and peace will be your allies until the end. Thank you for everything you do.

Hes often literally referred to as the acid king. His story is crazy. He manufactured all kinds of drugs in an underground lab hidden in a silo.

KZbinrs have the platform to be realistic and help nurture and give advice to a lot of people. Sense we're in a time where physical contact is going away, technology has taken a huge spot and a lot of people can be connected to and can find advice. Maybe since you've lived a criminal's life, you could be the one tells this young "gangsters" that the life is not what mainstream rap builds it up to be. It's a life of pain and loneliness and putting yourself a mile behind others in life.

I wonder who comes up with all these tricks and inventions in prison. I guess when you have a ton of time on your hands and you're intelligent you figure out ways to create stuff. Then it just gets passed on from person to person in the prison over the years. I wonder if you knew anyone who actually came up with any of this stuff or was it just passed down?

So, I know a guy who's been to prison. But this is Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, you have no idea how bad and corrupt a prison can get. So he tells me that apparently people just give the guards some money and say "hey, this day you'll get this much cocaine, this much weed, this much crack and these phones". Sure enough, he shows me a whatsapp conversation with a guy who shared pics of his cell full of weed. The mothafuckas have foken smartphones and the guards don't give a fuck. But don't worry, our prisons are hell on earth. You may think prisoner deserve punishment, but that wish is also letting gangs run crime behind bars freely.

If you are involved in organized crime you need to be smart. There are dumb criminals and smart criminals. The smart ones do what they think they need to do to get away with it. As long as they come on on top of law enforcement or they believe so at least, it's done. But at the end of the day it's like gambling. There are a lot of very smart people gambling their money away, even if they know it's rigged. In both cases you are systemically losing. They believe they are special or can make it somehow. It's an ego thing.

How did you not have a bad trip in prison? Of course LSD increases alertedness and sensitivity so I guess you're probably even more ready to take on bad situations, but isn't it dangerous to allow yourself to go on a trip? How does such an hostile environment influence your trip? And how do you trip for 8-10 hours without interacting with guards?

I really enjoy this style format of storytelling! Buy the book, stay for the stories! Good stuff Larry, thanks for sharing. Here is one: One of the times I did acid back in the early 90's was some really strong stuff. I clearly remember leaving reality all together. We were outside and the street lamps became these huge search lights. My 3 buddies that was with me were all having the very same trip as I was. We had escaped reality for about 3 hours while the street lights moved across the ground like huge search lights in a prison. I will never forget that! Very intense trip and changed my life. Anyone that has had a very powerful trip will know what I mean by it changed me as a person. I have never been the same since that trip.

@@LarryLawtonJewelThief After peaking hard for 3 hours, the after effects of walls breathing lasted for a good 26 hours. There are few words that can explain this experience. Totally getting the trip is about as close as we can get. As these things are sometimes feelings mixed with hallucinations. Yet I do not think some of what I saw wasn't there. It is there all the time, we just can't see it in a "sober" mind. This is why they have made such things illegal. They do not want you escaping from reality and seeing these small truths. I was even escorted back into my body by some being. I called it the WARP MASTER. My friends saw it too. We all had started talking after peaking, and we all experienced the same thing down to every detail. Most smaller trips within my groups of friends each person would have their own little trip and personal experience. This one was different as it was some really good stuff. Totally mind-boggling indeed! Thanks for the reply Larry! You remind me of the people I grew up with in the 80's. You're a good guy.
