@Nick - if you soak the laces in slow curing resin under vacuum for a while, won't it get rid of most of the air bubbles issues you are having? I understand that it is much messier to then continue with the project like you do. Just thought it might help with the air problems in the pressure pot?

I was looking at the bottom of the bowl and I got a flash of an idea. It kinda reminded me of a bowling ball. It would be kinda cool to have you actually MAKE a resin bowling ball. Maybe even a clear one with a skull in it like in Mystery Men. I just read this comment to my husband and he went it one better. An LED light inside that makes the eyes glow red whenever the ball moves. It could even be the kind that motion CHARGES the battery, kinda like a self winding watch. That way it could be permanently encased in resin, but never run out of power.

What if, instead of "another bowl" (you seem to be getting bored of making everything into a bowl), you made a lampshade out of the bowl shape....I think the light projecting through some of your projects would highlight the trapped articles included in the resin nicely.

Hi Nick from the Netherlands! Just a heads up, I'm one of those people who have tons of accounts and don’t always get to watch everythings but that's because there's those you just want to check in on now and then and others you will not watch áll of at the time but will álways get back to. You're one of those! I may not watch a little while, busy or following some things closely like Friesian horses where you follow daily life..but I néver forget you because I love what you do/make. Sadly I can't afford to buy any of your things but I love watching you make them. I make jewelry myself and craft with seaglass shells and driftwood. Anyway..you are never forgotten!

If you want to do blanks to reduce resin waste, which I would recommend. In this case, try using another, smaller bowl. If it floats, weight it a bit. If it sinks to the bottom, just remove some weight. You'll save time turning it, and save money not using as much resin.

I'm still fairly new at turning and your creativity has me thinking of soooo many ideas...thank for doing all these projects and I love that you show the "sometimes fail" because you make the best out of those and I think that's awesome. please keep the videos coming and please keep the humor...it's wonderful and makes me smile and giggle everytime!! Thank you for that!

I feel like I’m a sporadic watcher because I want to actually watch your work and the process (instead of just throwing on background noise at work). But as soon as I watch one, I gotta watch another!

Your content is like a cool drink of water (for my soul) on a hot day and I appreciate what you do! Don't be disheartened! You'll get to 1m subs! KZbin's algorithm isn't real nice to creators and favors content farms and doesn't always pop the real stuff to the top. But know that you're loved and your content is enjoyed. Stay safe and stay funky! We'll still be here when you hit your million mark and beyond!

The feather bowl is still my favorite of all time. This is so interesting to watch the experiments, even the ones that don't work out. And I stay til the end and listen to you talk, still here watching!

This is an awesome project, im going to have to try something like this. I think instead of CA to fill the holes, if your lathe has a real slow speed, hit it with a layer of epoxy while it slow spins. That will fill the holes and make it shine. Love watching your videos, you make them fun and very interesting lol.

Oh I'm so happy! A new Nick Zammetti video. Missed your waffling and horrible dad jokes. I'll edit this when your done. OK, projects done. Very cool bowl! I didn't expect the pseudo stained glass effect from it that you got. Yep, got all the waffles and dad jokes we've come to love from ya. Sorry I'll miss out on the contest, no Insta or FB for me, broke the habit 3 years ago. Oh well. Tell ya what, you keep making, and we'll all keep watching. Cheers to Charlie, hope to see something from him when he has the time.

I thought it would be a funkadelic project when you started it. I had no idea it would turn out to be so astoundingly beautiful item...as far as strings in a bowl go! Smile 😁

Gorgeous! I was a bit confused about the “black” resin in the beginning, then the black was gone, with clear areas and beautiful blue around the top (blue shoelace). Somebody suggested a lamp shade! Now there’s a brilliant idea!! Loved every minute of your waffling, by the way. Never fails to make me smile or even laugh out loud! ❤️😂❤️
