Another fine performance from Bette Davis. One she should have been nominated for. Olivia DeHaviland is terrific as the jealous cousin. Joseph Cotton as her old boyfriend and Charlotte's doctor. Agnes Mooreheard plays an unforgettable part as the housekeeper and received an Oscar Nomination for supporting actress. Cecil Kellaway is wonderful as he ever was. Victor Buono who co stared with Bette in "Whatever Happened To Baby Jane" plays Charlotte's father in this one. Terrific music score by Fank DeVol. Lyrics by Mack David. The score and song were nominated for an Academy Award. Worth watching if you want to see the old pros do their thing !

Talk about tantalizing trailer ! I remember seeing this on network TV as a preteen way back in the late 60s. Character actor Victor Buono played Bette Davis' father in this, but in real life he was actually 30 years younger than her. Joan Crawford had been cast in the role of Charlotte's cousin & had been filming a few weeks when she bowed out of the production due to what she claimed was "illness". It was well known that she & Bette had been feuding for years. Thank goodness Bette's good friend Olivia De Havilland was available & flew in from her home in France to take over the role & give an outstanding performance.

Thank you for uploading this hq film trailer of the "all-time (Bette Davis❤) classic (1965)"; "Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlotte..." (= one of my favorite movies ever!), onto KZbin!😊👍 It's obviously still a unique and sufficiently powerful and meaningful movie - as there has not yet, after 57 years of this original picture's existence(!), been (nor planned) a single remake of it; though that would definitely be really intresting, in this day and age!... I'm practicing this for you you better be here Monday we got various instrumentations we can use on this I've even got a harpsichord with a violin spring accompaniment. Oh there's all kinds of things you can you can hear you can almost hear Betty Davis screaming. The other movie I like we went who was Betty Davis playing in The Nanny. She chased a little boy out of the house and he ran to his older girlfriend's in the building was just a towel why I had dreams about that for years. I guess that's what you get when your hormonally CHALLENEGED. That's one challenge I could have met.
