@ericschmitz3573 ай бұрын
@@saeednrzadeh4754 absolutely agree that there are differences between identical transmissions - Mazda 2023/2024 turbo 6 speeds sound much better than the non-turbo 6 speeds especially in the 2024 models. Earlier Mazda non-turbo 6 speeds like your 2022 and earlier sound and shift better than the most recent 2024/2025. Don't know why...moral: drive the exact car you are going to buy befor you purchase it. CX70/CX90 transmissions: drive a few to become familiar with them...then drive the exact car you are thinking of buying befor pulling the trigger - the 8 speed transmissions do not all shift alike either. BTW: we own (2) 2024 CX5 turbo models and they are both different - wife agrees one is smoother and one is more aggressive - she likes the smoother and I like the more aggressive - ofcourse her car is the more aggressive and she won't trade.

If anyone is shopping for CX5, I value the FWD over AWD just for MPG. Believe you have to get 21 and older for fwd. The handling advantage is not there for me. Honestly, this is such a poor review and comparison of the two vehicles. The only driving comments you made were about how fast the cars were and the quietness of the cabin. Since Mazda costs $10K more, I would expect it to be faster. What about the advanced techs that make the Hyundai shine? Does Mazda have adaptive cruise control? Does it keep the car centered in the lane? Does it automatically keep you in the middle of the lane in straights AND curves? Auto change lanes? Does it drive by itself during stop and go traffic? 360 view? Blind spot monitoring and view? Digital rear view mirror? Park the car remotely? Unlock, start, and drive the car without a key? Built-in cam, front/rear with audio? Does the Mazda do any of these things, considering it costs $10k more?

The windshield wipers skipped and occasionally struck the window frame on the drivers side. There was a telematics’ failure 100 miles into the trip. Found the a/c system struggled to cool a hot car from Texas heat. Still warm 20 minutes down the road. Founds seats average and lacking cushioning for a long drive. V6 power was nice and shifts - except for 1st gear - were smooth. Actually, I’d buy the Palisade over the Mazda. Priced similar but find the Palisade is finished better.

This really is “The battle no one asked for.” The Santa Fe and CX-70 are targeting different customers and the strong opinions in the comments makes that pretty clear. As always, this new gen Santa Fe is going to sell incredibly well because of how Hyundai has mastered marketing. They do a great job of appealing to what customers can see, which is why almost no manufacturers have been able to match Hyundai and Kia prices when it comes to tech/features, comfort, and futuristic designs. However, as evidenced by this new Santa Fe’s catastrophic transmission failures (non-hybrid models), shows that Hyundai often neglects the basic functions of a vehicle in favor of looks and fancy tech. The CX-70 on the other hand is far from perfect and it’s understandable why some people would prefer the Land Rover lookalike over Mazda’s original design. Due to the very recent release of the CX-70, the long term reliability is untested. The difference is that Mazda always starts by focusing on the engine/transmission, electrical system, safety, and handling. They don’t put tech and features above reliability and driving dynamics. It’s the reason Mazda has an incredible history of creating vehicles that appeal to driver enthusiasts, rather than people that just view their cars as a piece of technology.

@ayushmalpeddi27936 ай бұрын
Like others have noted the Santa Fe ICE DCT trans is questionable. Hit or miss. But their hybrid drivetrain is quite solid so far. Id suggest the hybrid model if you want the Santa Fe. Can easily average over 30mpg and it still has decent pep thanks to the turbo 1.6T and automatic transmission they use in the hybrid system. The CX-70 is also great and impressively efficient given its power. Owners average 25mpg which is great considering the car can do 0-60 in 6.5 seconds while carrying up to 7-8 passangers in the cx90 models. The Mazda does feel nicer inside but honestly its not by a massive margin once you realize the Santa Fe costs 5-10K less margin. The Hyundai feels very good for the price. Only thing I wish Mazda did was make the CX-70 smaller and cheaper and the CX-90 more boxy at the rear end. I understand it uses a RWD architecture but its embarrassing the Santa Fe offers similar passanger space, cargo capacity, and performance for thousands less and while being almost 1ft shorter in length.

Not true,you have absolutely no idea. My family owns 3 Hyundai products and over a total of 28 years of driving we've only had five minor issues. 9-year-old sonata, without any squeaks or rattles and the only thing that has failed is the cd player.

We bought a MAZDA CX-60, and it has been a terrible experience. We’ve had problems every day. In just six months, we’ve had to bring it in for recalls and software resets five times. The value has already dropped by $10,000. Please don’t buy the CX-60. My wife spoke to the General Sales Manager, Robert, Mt Gravatt but there was no resolution. He was polite, but nothing was accomplished.

Like the Santa Fe in videos but once we saw one in the wild the rear looks odd - and not in a good way. But… same issue with the Mazda with its bubble butt. Oh well.

SF wireless chargers are completely useless. Seats side busters are too high so if you are wide body, it will bother you. But it's super quiet inside, dual pane windows, soft suspension, tins of space inside, tons of storage ( more than other cars in the market). Btw, you can drive 74mph in electric mode in Hybrid version. I tried Mazda but its too small, too tight, no storage inside and too stiff. Looks like a BMW, so thats the positive
