Wow, you got a lot of cool CDs there. I totally dig the Meteors. Love your CDs, especially the halloween/punk and horror/surf music. Might I recommend to you a 2 discs Rockabilly From Hell CD set. There's 20 songs on each CD. I have a ton of Cds. I never quit buying CDs. You can get them cheap and I've found a lot of soundtracks over the years. I recently found Jerry Goldsmith's Omen on Cd for 2 bucks! I love it!

5 good reasons for buying CDs. Vinyl is my format of choice, but I still buy CDs - and I love my mp3 player for when I'm out and about - all formats have their place. 2 of your reasons are why I still buy CDs - ones that are not available, or very difficult to find on vinyl, and box sets. I think CDs are the ideal format for box sets - I love the Grapefruit 3CD sets of 60s / 70s material. I've got that Goblin set too - wonderful stuff. back to vinyl though - this week I got the Zoltan Blind Dead album - excellent! Reminded me that I should watch the films again. Cheers... Pete. I love a bit of Horror Punk and grab some CDs when I see them esp Black Metal or 80s Hair Metal - I have no shame lol.

I've not bothered with vinyl since around 1985. The arguments about which was the best quality were never very objective. I rarely saw anyone compare top quality products, played on top quality gear. The fact that my £200 CD player didn't sound as good as someone's £8,000 vinyl based hi-fi system was really neither here, nor there as far as I was concerned. The truth was, for me, that my cheap CD player sounded better than any vinyl set-up I could get for the same money, and I didn't have to replace the stylus every so often. These days, it's pretty much established that vinyl wins on points, but it's bloody expensive, I don't have the equipment, and I sure as Hell don't have the space! These days, all my music is downloaded, and it does me fine. I stopped counting the CDs when the number topped 12,000 around 20 years back, and I plan on gradually getting rid of all of them. I need some space to live in! You, of course, are well aware that my problem very much extends to books as well. I loved that you showed all that stuff I'm interested in, and I actually don't have most of them! This is quite rare. :D If I lived in Sheffield, I suspect we'd be loaning each other carrier bags full of CDs on a regular basis. I shall certainly keep you in mind when I start to get rid of my collection, on the basis that you'll likely want the ones no one else has ever heard of. :D
