Protein bars are essentially a better alternative to a candy bar. When I used to eat protein bars, I never had more than 2-3 a week it was just a snack when I wanted something sweet, but still with some nutritional value. Also they're extremely constipating, if you do eat those protein bars and have more than 1, you MUST drink a FULL glass of water with it. Glad the internet was wrong and you didn't die. :)

I use to work at GNC for 4 years. To this day I stopped buying any supplements except for vitamins and the occasional protein powder from optimum nutrition (which by the way has sucralose which is a very bad artificial sugar) Most of the supplement industry feeds off the insecurities of people. About 80% of supplements is trash. You’d benefit more from just eating Whole Foods. Most of those protein bars have more preservatives and artificial sugar than actual candy bars. Oh and most of them taste really bad.

I'm a fan of protein/healthy/raw bars, but only the real "clean" ones. And I can easily imagine myself living on them, but if i had a nice variety of them instead of most bars based on dates. They are my real comfort food and I like that they are like astronaut/bunker food that u can stock yourself with. And I used to take them to trips but usually turns out I don't need that much food and when I do I chose to buy local (to try smth new) if there is a possibility. When I'm in a new country or shop I always check for such bars that I haven't tried

This video was well done and funny .. however.. as you learned .. too many protein bars are not a good idea.. and not good for your health.. That tiredness you were experiencing.. and the stomach pain and sounds.. your body was letting you know big time that it was not pleased with what you were feeding it.. All jokes and puns aside.. those bars are.. for the most part.. loaded with sugar and junk.. and they can be expensive.. I don't think protein bars are that high in protein tho. I mean I'm no way at a spot to be talking about this but the protein bars I've tried only had about 10-15 grams of protein.. Don't think having 5-6 of these should be any problem.. on the other hand, the sugar tho..

As someone who’s obsessed with sweets, I sometimes binge eat like 6-7 in one eat. It makes me feel sick and I told myself I’d never do this to myself again but when I’m stressed I just started doing it. It upsets my stomach and my skin starts breaking out. It’s really unhealthy

that chain belt in the beginning looks like it has spring loaded carabiners. you can just grab the chain like a foot from one of the clips and double up a few links and then attach it to the belt. thatll give you a customizable chain length. or if not briing your own carabiner.

Colin it looks like you’re retaining more and more fluid in your face as the video progresses.either you need to elevate your head more when you sleep, or your protein bar diet caused water retention. Keep in mind high protein content in your blood can impact your kidney function. Normally the only way to get too much protein in your blood is through Rhabdomyolysis (rapid muscle breakdown, a usually the result of overtraining or taking high doses of ADHD medications). I’m sure the protein bars couldn’t have gotten your blood protein that high, but the fluid retention is still concerning.

Simply protein bars I find to be pretty good since they are high in fiber and a bit healthier than other brands. The only tradeoff is the protein you get is cut in half compared to others.

Those core 26 choco drinks are amazing. They do cause more constipation, though.
