Any plans for low calorie samosas? Feel like it’s something that could be made way healthier and it already has a lot of protein - just need to make the crust lower calorie and not deep fried

Within 10 minutes start to finish huh? Make the recipe, let it cool in the fridge 10-15 minutes, form the munchkins, cook 5 minutes, cool 10-15 minutes, put on glaze. More like 45 minutes.

How do you deal with the erythritol "mint" issue? I tried baking with it before or using it in drinks and much of the time it has the cooling sensation that mint does. Which is fine if you make it mint flavor, but weird if you don't. Also, coconut flour is a super thirsty flour so use it sparingly. I will never forget making coconut flour pancakes and using the same amount as an exchange from flour and feeling very sick just a little while after. Not a fun experience. I'd never felt so full and uncomfortable in my life.

Honestly just switch it out with 20g of sugar if the taste bothers you too much. 20 g won't harm you, it's a cheat day meal anyways

@@AbsorbEd20 sure maybe you will be fine. But some of the studies that have been coming out has made me pump the breaks on it. Good luck
@vixxcelacea27785 ай бұрын
@@Kingmidas38 If the studies were on mice in laboratories, it doesn't mean it's transferable to human concerns. I understand being skeptical, but after the whole destruction of parabens and preservatives, to which studies on that are not understood by the laymen and there is a lot of appeal to nature fallacy, try to find studies with large enough bodies of evidence as well as on human studies. While lab rats can give a lot of information, they are not a cause for alarm. It's something many many people aren't taught, hell, people aren't taught how to read scientific studies outright, let alone when that information is actually concerning or not. Speaking from experience given that I was an appeal to nature type and fell for a lot of fear mongering so I'm extra wary of it happening now. There is also the issue of correlation isn't causation. People with higher erythritol consumption might also be the same type who already have conditions and issues associated to obesity/heart issues due to over sugar consumption which they replace with erythritol at the same rate. Second, it's a matter of which is worse. While it's always good to cut out things that can have adverse affects, if someone is a sugar addict, a replacement with out the caloric value, even if it still causes issues might still be a better option. Things like that aren't so black and white. Good vs bad food is a matter of a plethora of factors going on in a persons body and their conditions. About the only thing universally bad is trans-fat as far as I know. But there are many "good" foods that many people can't have because their system doesn't like it. It's also fine if you want to wait and see, because yes, more studies should be done around something newer in our food sphere, but jumping to conclusions or telling others is what prompts me to say something because people can and will get the wrong idea. Along with also looking at any blog or source and assuming it's valid. Again, everything I'm calling out to anyone on this I am equally guilty of. It's why I'm saying it as a warning. I try to read national institutes of health or ncbi sources when it comes to stuff like this rather than an overview from webmd or anything like that. Most of the time, almost all studies will say "more studies are required" because they are inconclusive.
