Jag don’t put the plates on, dealers do during the PDI. I also have the usual rectangle plate on the rear that included the EU flag on there already so that was a winner. Regards to filter, I usually put a little perma pen mark on a part of the filter and check it later to see if it’s been swapped.

I've been enjoying your videos on the XE. I'm buying one of these this week, its got the same engine but its the prestige model rather than the r-sport. Was just wondering, if you can remember, if after fitting the performance air filter did you get any noticeable induction noise? In my current car I've fitted a CAI with cone filter which gives a nice tone but on the XE I'm leaning more towards just a panel filter. Beyond that all I'll be looking to do is a bit more tone into the exhaust and probably just with custom back boxes like you done. I may look at the tuning box you have but honestly I think the 230odd bhp that she is standard will be more than enough for me. It's almost 100 more than my current car.

Not a huge amount of induction noise, the cone would always offer more noise. Also once I did the exhaust that’s all I wanted to hear haha.

Yeah it did! Provides a noticeable difference with normal driving, barely audible cruising but in Dynamic it’s still nice and full of tone :) was a good purchase.

For The Drive - Haha yeah, can you even get plates that start with X anymore? I love cars (especially the XE S, It's literally S EX on wheels lol) but know far less about plates. I ask because I can't remember the last X reg car I've seen...

Very true, I’ve not looked into using the XE in a plate so I cannot say for sure, but it’s been a long time since I saw any I must admit.

The only reason i’m skeptical about it is that my first car that I had for a few years, I used to do my own services, changing filters etc. The air filter would be cleaner than that after a year, let alone on a few months. But as this car produces over double the power of my old car, I’m open to believing that the filters get dirtier quicker.

The air filter is so easy to change. Come on! It's like your turning your nose up at manual work because you seemed to manage ok. Try an oil change that's easy also it's just a straight forward ECOBOOST 2.0T Ford engine buy the correct oil and filter that way you know its done properly and all the bolts that hold the under tray on are put back.
