the "let me think about that" line is something my family's therapist puts a lot of emphasis on for us, except some members of my family are very impatient and will push on anyway so the line we're supposed to use is "if i answer right now, the answer will be no. let me think about it and come back to you."

10:04 ... Alright now. Slow your roll, internet. I didn't even get this experience in a group of friends. I had this event in therapy! I'm an intellectualizer, and deflect with humor. Therapy is thusly, slow going for me. Eventually we dug down to a story about how I wouldn't let my mother lick stamps as a kid, because I saw a segment on the news about a someone getting poisoned by doing it. I made my mother let me do it instead. Haha right? My therapist says, "Oh, so you were assuming the parental role very young then. That's a very big job for a little human. Why did you feel like you had to take that responsibility on instead of just warning her? " It was like that woman finally found a weak spot in the curtain wall and brought the trebuchet. I was five years old when that happened, and it took me 24 years to learn I had been taking responsibility for my mother instead of being a kid. It was the moment that re-framed how many adults called me an "old soul". 😅 I apologize if this was a trauma dump

It's not bravery if you aren't afraid. Being afraid and doing it anyway is what it means to be brave. Being afraid and doing it anyway is courage.

Courage IS doing something that scares you. Like, it doesn't require courage to do something that doesn't scare you, y'know? Courage means being afraid and anxious, and then steeling yourself against all that and summoning the strength from within you to do it anyway, while still carrying that fear and anxiety throughout. If you're scared and still do the thing, you are inherently courageous and absolutely deserve to feel good about that 💜

I'm 35 and I bought myself glow in the dark stars a bit ago (never had any as kid). Haven't put them up yet, because I'm not entirely sure where.. so yeah. I placed ONE, just to test it out and the rest will surely follow at some point. Was going to put them up along the walls (maybe along the floor) of the hallway so I can see a bit while going to the bathroom at night, but my hallway is very dark and I don't want to turn the lights on just to charge up the stars in case I need to pee in the time before falling asleep.

I am turning 27 next month and recently got myself some glow in the dark stars too^^ I have a few night/dream themed art posters and cards around my bed, so I did put them up right above my head when I am lying down and honestly it really is magical to see them glitter above me right before I close my eyes every night! Definitely need more though >< putting them up in the hallway sounds absolutely magical, you should totally go for it! Actually my area of the bed doesn't get too much light either, so originally I was a bit worried about them charging up and it did take a few days/weeks for them to properly shine brightly, but it went over better than I expected^^

I was literally just talking to my husband about this the other day. Whether it's you yourself telling a story, or someone else telling you a story. And as the events are described out loud, you realize that this is the type of beginning events that would end up on dateline? Everything works out, and nothing bad actually happens, realizing that you or whoever is telling the story and made the type of decisions that would cause you to yell at your screen because the character is making bad decisions?

7:09 See, for me, when I say my life is a joke, I don't mean it in a self-depricating way, I mean that if my life was a realistic fiction, it would specifically be a comedy. Two of my friendships are a straight up telenovela situation, except we're all on good terms. The first real guy (as opposed to fictional characters) I've had a crush on since elementary school (I'm over the crush now) is engaged to my one and only ex who I'm still really good friends with. My dad insists that my mom and I could be a comedy duo because of how alike we are, and our arguments are almost all silly and minor, making them comedic to witness, apparently

The part about to do -lists made me pause the video and book a follow up appointment for my dog. It was the only time sensitive thing on my list today (well, apart from actual work), and getting it done definitely helps! (For context, I HATE making phone calls! I wish everything could be done via text or in the internet. Would make more sense anyways since I always have to spell my name and repeat multiple things on the phone, it's just a stupid format for anything that's not an actual emergency 😂)

I’m 27 and I LOVE everything glow in the dark, I make a lot of glow stuff and had glow stars on my wall from when I first started decorating my own room (8yrs old till I moved out at 19). The only reason I don’t have them now is that rentals are REALLY against bluetac on walls/ceiling because it can stain - so it’s specifically written in all the leases where I’m from that you can’t put it or other types of tape/adhesive on the walls/ceilings if you’re renting 😢 Instead I have a glow in the dark grey fluffy throw with stars which I love. I make dog gear and most of the popular products are glow in the dark ones because people who want patches or vests for their dogs who need space or are reactive to things, generally walk their dogs at less busy times especially at night where a glow in the dark patch with ‘keep back’ or ‘give me space’ will be able to be seen from further away and stand out at night. My own pup (assistance dog) has glow in the dark shoes because when we were at night markets or events at night or in a cinema for example where it’s dark, people wouldn’t see her because she’s a dark colour and would trip or step on her paws if they didn’t see her. So now her feet glow and people can’t miss her now. Honestly glow in the dark stuff is just so cool and it’s really accessible - I have a few clients who are vision impaired that I make gear for, because the illumination can help them see where their dog is at night or when it’s dark.

The idea of doing something scared is similar to a quote I really like from a film that says "Feel the fear and do it anyway." I try to implement that in my life as much as possible, because, for me, if something is scaring me, then it's the right thing to do. There's also the quote from Theodore Roosevelt that says “Nothing worth having comes easy.”

8:21 Shaaba!! I _actually_ have an answer!!!! (For once xD) I've been using Google Map to control my anxiety/entertain myself for more than a decade(maybe even 2!?? When was Google Map out!?)! I usually use 'Street View' ^^ Personally, I am AWFUL in geography and directions, so I've become fascinated in this useful tool over the years, starting my 'hobby' with places near me. But now? I 'travel' all over the World using this method! Not just for water bodies of course, but anything really! Places are full of life and interesting & new stuff, it's wonderful! Sometimes I also just look at what the cars and people/animals are doing, other times I challenge myself by looking up stuff relatively known, and then guess where exactly on the map it starts and ends! A bit like the user said in your video ^^ Overall, it's just such a fun 'learning' tool! I guess I was 'geoguessing' before it was a thing...and also because I would never find anything in that 'game' xD Anyway, hope it helped! 💙

Then I open my eyes and try to find a river and follow it downstream all the way out to the ocean 😅 To answer your question about splitting, most river don't split down stream unless they're going around an island. If they look like they split then you've probably accidentally gone upstream (towards the source). Also I'm a geomorphologist so I also not only do this for boredom and fun, but also for work sometimes lol
