Adam Montgomery beat his daughter, Harmony Montgomery, to death in a fit of rage after she had a “bathroom accident” in the car the family was living in before moving her lifeless body from one hiding place to the next in an effort to conceal the stench of her decaying remains, according to an affidavit.

I strongly believe that despite her problems with drug abuse, Harmony's mom did try very hard to be a decent mother to her. And I believe she loved her daughter. She had a hard time overcoming her addictions, which is not unusual, but, she tried hard. I do think children services did make it hard for her in some respects. I know Crystal did hope Harmony would be adopted by the same people who adopted her brother but, a judge in family court decided not to let that happen and to send Harmony to another state to her father. A man with a violent criminal record and his own addictions. How could anyone think that was a better home for Harmony?

Harmony’s mother was in jail or rehab when this was all happening. This happened after Harmony’s mother was arrested for using drugs. Harmony’s mother asked that Harmony be placed with her brother (who has no known father) in foster to adopt instead of with her dad, and the state decided to place Harmony with her father because he came forward for her.

usa is at its peak of familys living in vehicles. rentals became a worldwide competitive market and usa government does not cap rentals and sells real estate to highest bidder. they arent giving vets enough to live indoors. california seems to lead in homelessness. how many times we see abandoned property from banks loaning for millions of dollars homes not paid and banks hold on to and it falls apart. quit giving real estate loans to 1 billioinaire and spread it out a bit. middle class families cant get loans cant get a rental to live with children. government gives a break for low income housing cap that number rental max. too many killing their own children because they cant meet the finances and get frustrated.

Exactly. THere is a massive lack of affordable housing throughout the country and especially in the North East. Land "lords" raise rents astronomically. And they have a cadre of lawyers to back them up. It's a terrible state of affairs with the lack of housing that is affordable to normal people. Inflation. The price of groceries has doubled and quantities decreased. In fact it's tripled on some items. THe greed of companies is out of sight. The pandemic gave them an excuse to raise prices. There is tonnes of money in surplus government accounts, both Federal and State levels, yet we have an epidemic of drug addiction, suicides, high rents and evictions and generally a hate and anger circulating through out humanity. This family was living a CAR. Imagine the stress! And with small children. So sad. Having said this, that father should have asked someone for help, rather than attacking his child. But just not too long ago, a woman in America cooked her two children in the oven. A one year and a two year old. The rate of abuse by parents towards their children is an abomination.
