As someone on the opposite side of the color spectrum, I think they genuinely would look equally good on most skin tones, even if they wouldn't look the same. For example, on her Spice For Me is very orange, but on me it's much more brown. Different, but still totally flattering.

I think the best thing about the formula for "universally flattering" is the buildable, deeper skin tones can build the color so their tone doesn't overpowerand a lighter tone can apply the same color w/o the color being so in your face. And i like that

If you want something that really helps with your skin you should go to the dermatologist and ask for Vitamin A acid pills/ Isogalen etc (has different names depending on the country I believe) This is the only thing that really helped me with my acne (I’m female and 20 btw). I took the pills for about 2 and a half years and it just helped me with my depression and self image. ♥️ If you want more information about my experience you can ask me If you like🙏🏻

Great concept and execution from Maybelline! I’m impressed with their dedication to the wider shade range market, and I hope they keep this momentum because they’re really appealing to the drugstore market/budget friendly market. I hope at some point they release a nice brick/brown red shade, as well as more experimental colors like blues and greens. Would also love to see a color like mauve for me with a *hint* of reddish pink to it :’)

I'm not sure what your skin tone is however mine is medium and the Spice For Me shows up more brownie red rather than orange on my skin so if you have a medium skin tone I would recommend that one if you're looking for that brick kind of color :)

Universal shades of green and blue is a really interesting concept, I'd love to see what they'd look like! I also want a purple, because I love purple. it really depends on your make up look and the shape but red is actually one of the most universal lip colours. I have darker friends and medium skinned friends while I'm extremely pale and we can all rock a true red shade with the right application of make up

I feel like the spice and plum shades were just really nice. They popped without being gaudy, and they really did complement your skin and makeup. I never thought I'd like the kind of orange-brown shade the spice lipstick offered, but I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the color. And, I'm pretty much a sucker for deep red, burgundy, and plum shades, so the plum lipstick was definitely my favorite. Anyways, kudos to you for being so informative and entertaining on makeup in general!
