After 50 years as a Oneness Pentecostal minister, Joel Hemphill came to the understanding that not only is the Doctrine of the Trinity not scriptural, but that modern-day Oneness doctrine is lacking as well. While Brother Hemphill still holds to the Jesus Name - Apostolic message, he has come to the realization that the Jesus Name Apostolics in the Book of Acts were not proclaiming the post-biblical Oneness view of God. They did not declare God as three “manifestations.” Rather, they declared the Father himself as the only one who is truly God. And, Jesus, not as God, but rather God’s virgin born human son - the man whom God has “made to be Lord and Christ” (Acts 2.36). The Apostles in the Book of Acts taught repentance and baptism in the name of Jesus “Christ” not Jesus “Our God” (Acts 2.38).

Somebody is wrong and it’s not the word of God. Thomas correctly identified Jesus as, ‘My Lord and my God’. John20:28.

No punctuation in Greek. So Thomas could possibly have said : “ My Lord!”and “ My God ! While looking skyward. We could not know it bout being in the room. But then if we asked as Jesus asked of Peter “ Who do you say that I am?” The. We must also believe Peter when he replies “ You are the messiah, The Son of the God” . To which Jesus replied “ Blessed are you Peter for you did not get this from men but from Holy Spirit. “ So for Jesus and Paul to both be correct and the entirety of Scripture to be found True we must accept that Paul is correct and there is some detail of Thomas’ statement which we do not know. But , in fact , it is more important to be obedient to what Jesus taught clearly about to whom To pray and whom to direct our worship. ( Matthew 4:10).

The deity of the Lord Jesus Christ is proclaimed all throughout the new covenant. When the doctrine of the trinity was being formed by the Ancient Roman Catholic church, they began to take liberties with punctuation. The Original context was not, "GOD who IS Christ." The correct rendering is, "GOD, and ALSO Christ." Don't believe me? Then how do you explain John20:17? Did you know Jesus not only has a "FATHER," but a "GOD," as well? And can you explain John10:29? Can you adequately explain, John 14:28? How about, John 17:3. Jesus Flat-out refers to GOD the FATHER, as His, "GOD and FATHER." How do we account for that, my friend? Again: If Jesus is LITERALLY GOD---then, What/Who is, GOD the FATHER? And try This one, good brother: Why would Jesus DECLARE: "I only speak the words my FATHER gives me?" Yes, he SAID that! If Jesus is not God then we have no hope if he were just a man. But the true Jesus connects us to the Father. He is the go between. He is the door to the Father. He is the Father and the son. Who raised Jesus from the dead? We know the Bible teaches that God raised Jesus from the dead. The Word also says in John 2:19, “Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up”, Jesus speaking.

I dont think Jesus was made,yes he is below the Father but I dont think he was made as Jesus is the WORD....the WORD of God. Christ is the incarceration of the spirit. The incarnate God is called Christ. And Christ is not of flesh and blood but the incarnation of the Spirit. God to come as a flesh is incarnation. There seems to be some confusion between the historical state of Jesus in his state of humiliation (kenosis) juxtaposed to the post-resurrection glorified Jesus having been made ONE with the Father after all distinctions were forever erased. Jesus clearly identified Himself in Rev. 1:8, and elsewhere leaving no doubt about who and what he is PRESENTLY as opposed to who and what he was before his resurrection, the historical Jesus. He did not have all power both in heaven and earth as he claimed to have been GIVEN in Matt 28:18, post resurrection. BTW, my own Father was saved under his Father, W.T. Hemphill in 1933 in Catahoula Parish, La. His Father was classical Oneness but I don't believe he understood the difference between the historical Jesus and the post resurrection Jesus either.. In it he states that Christ was generated or begotten from the father sometime before all things were created. Is that what you are saying in your comments above? That Christ is from God, and the first work of God, and that through Christ came all things? And then Christ was sent into the world as the Son of God? If so what would you call Christ before he came into the world? Also if that is what you're saying, can you point me to other resources that share this view?

Begotten by the Spirit of God, filled with the spirit of God, healing all, raising the dead, casting out demons, controlling nature, raised from the dead, pouring out His Spirit for us to be indwelled by to be empowered to heal the sick and cast out demons, etc, etc, etc. Hence the divine healing miracles and casting out of demons i experienced already thousands of times and many others too. Way to much to degrade Him to "just a prophet". Some unfortunately never understood God's resolve for mankind's fall and write an other story leading millions astray. Heartbreaking. What lots of people (even pastors) don't (yet) understand. For the fall of man a perfect atoning sacrifice had to be made.... that is what God did in Christ. He paid the debt for the fall of man for us to be indwelled by His Spirit again and finally receive the divine life of the ages back, the first Adam let got of in the fall of man. That is what you see happening in Christ's first disciples. They too healed all. And yes.... that is still avaible today. The holy blood is in place, the Holy Spirit is here to give us understanding and transform us back to origin. Not to be debated about, but to be embraced and be-come. Try as much as you may but you will never understand nor explain the Trinity.You can call it a " mystery" or come up with some fancy analogy to make it seem sensible. You were right instead: Jesus was the Father ! Jesus is God, but He is not omnipotent. And He wants people to know it: He "expressis verbis" states “ I from myself am NOT ABLE to do a thing” (John 5:30). Thus, the miracles can only be made by the Father: see the Lazarus' resurrection, when He thanks the Father for the miracle. Jesus is the non-omnipotent God.

@@fredrolinners8903 I don't think so: for some logical reasons the work of the almighty God cannot be done now in "real time". That work COULD be done and HAD to be done in a distant past "before the foundation of the world". At that time God was able to observe the future (our free will actions) and to take actions in it. At that time He could make ALL his work, for the whole future eternity. Thus, God only dwells in that distant time and "no one ever saw God", "the world has not known you". Since EVERYTHING was done, his power was NO LONGER NECESSARY. He thus GOT RID OF IT to become like a NORMAL MAN: the Son of God. The Son of God is thus still God because HE DERIVES FROM GOD but He is not omnipotent anymore: He is a non-omnipotent God. But He is also a MAN at the same time. All this means that we are now observed by the almighty God from that distant past and that He can be present here with his actions. But He is in reality ABSENT, this is why He is a like spirit among us "God is a spirit". He is the "Spirit of God" AKA "Holy Spirit". Not "personally", but ONLY in the form of a spirit God takes actions here now (see for ex. Mary's pregnancy). Accordingly, WHEN JESUS WAS BAPTIZED, THE SPIRIT OF GOD - i.e. the Father who is a spirit - SAID "...you are my beloved Son...". Just the Father and the Son there. Since God is ABSENT and is only in the form of a spirit, the Son INHERITED the reign of God and He will judge people when they die, NOT THE ALMIGHTY GOD.

No one should follow or listen to anyone who denies the deity of Christ. That's what 1 John 4:3 is about. Jesus is the Christ, if he was not God in the flesh his sacrifice had no power to take away sins. But Jesus was and is and is to come. He paid the debt for the fall of man for us to be indwelled by His Spirit again and finally receive the divine life of the ages back, the first Adam let got of in the fall of man. That is what you see happening in Christ's first disciples. They too healed all. And yes.... that is still avaible today. The holy blood is in place, the Holy Spirit is here to give us understanding and transform us back to origin. Not to be debated about, but to be embraced and be-come. So: The Kingdom of God already came. Through Christ, in Spiritform, in those that understand. Hence the divine healing miracles we experience. God manifested in Christ to give us back the divine life mankind lost in the fall of Adam. Christ, the exact image of the invisible God. The image we were created after in Gen 1. So.... again: God stooped down IN Christ to restore us back to Gen 1:27 were He said: "Let us make man according to our image and likeness and let them have authority.....": walk as Christ.
