Nice review. It’s been fun to watch your channel grow from a few hundred to where you’re at now! I bought the VL35 ProS a month ago and love it. We have a very similar Taco/OVRLND setup, but I ran some wire out of my power bank, through the cab’s firewall, and modded a 12V plug into the center console in so I could leave the ICECO in the backseat of the double-cab. Makes for more room for two of us at night. For those curious about power draw: we’re running two AGM VMAX tanks batteries for a total of 310Ah. The VL35 on its highest setting draws about 4-5 Amps and 25 watts overnight and runs out batteries down to about 275 Ah along with our inverter running the LED lights, phone charging, etc. That’s some low power draw. We have the Renogy 50A DC to DC charge controller wired to our alternator and the batteries hit 100% within about 15 minutes of driving or an hour of full power sun in the morning.

Thanks Steve! Man, I've had a blast making videos and sharing the journey. Stoked to see where this path leads in the future. That sounds like a clever set up. I dig! Thanks so much for sharing the info about your power draw as well. That's something I should've have covered more. Might have to do another video. Cheers!

I bought my ICECO 65L for my OVRLND powered by a Bluetti Power system. Absolutely love the fridge, zero issues.

Great to hear! I’ve really enjoyed mine so far. I was on the fence and almost went for the 65L too but since it’s just me, I think the 45L is the perfect size. Thanks for the comments brotha!

Good video. I like that you thought the lid wouldn't be a big deal, but found its design to be very useful. It'd be great to see a video about the electricity on your rig. Newbie to it, and pretty much all things involved, but very interested.

Thanks! Yeah I just didn't realize how convenient it would be. 12v is a lot of fun. This might be just the video you're looking for. There's a wire chart at the end too. Truck Camper Electrical System kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5_KeHyDlrp0i9k

I think so too! I was a little worried about the weight too but it's not as bad as I thought it would be.

I'm definitely in the market for a cooler, but my needs are an occasional weekend trip so I'm not sure I need one this nice. That and the weight. While I understand that it likely needs it for efficiency, it's a lot IMO. Lastly, I recognize that energy specs are on their website, but I would have found it interesting/helpful to know what your power system is, and how it handles the draw. Thanks for taking time to create another nice video.

For sure! They make a ton of fridges in lower capacities, for lower prices, and that weigh less. And thanks for that feedback! My 135 amp hour battery and 100w solar panel have been plenty to keep up with the draw. I imagine it's pulling like 3-4ish Amps an hour depending on the heat and how much I have packed in the cooler. Generally speaking, the cooler will require less power the with less empty space inside. Hope that helps. Thanks Mark!

Love your videos! Also just want to say how well shot and written these are. Love it. I know it doesn’t matter at all, but what are you filming on?

I bought one earlier this year with the previous basket design which is just one deep basket. I will have to see if they will sell me a basket upgrade because that would make this the perfect setup.

Totally worth asking. That basket redesign is a game changer

How do you power the fridge when you’re stationary?
@HeyJonMooreАй бұрын
I run everything off of my lithium battery system. kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5_KeHyDlrp0i9ksi=R-PLoQM2VW9vq4oG The only thing that’s changed since this video is the addition of a permanent roof top solar panel. 100W

@ Thank you. Your diesel heater and fridge are the exact models I’ve been looking at. My power bank is 1024wh. I really appreciate the reply. I guess I just always worried about being on a 3 day trip and having a dead battery because I didn’t fully understand how to calculate my power needs. I’m feeling more confident now and I’m excited for a shakedown run to try everything out. Thanks again.

Hi Jon, why not a dual zone? Do you freeze your meats or eat ice cream? Just wondering… Also, does your peanut butter need to be in the refrigerator? Most don’t. That may give more cooler space if you take the jar out. Of course I don’t know your details, I’m just observing. 😊
@HeyJonMoore3 ай бұрын
Hey Susan! So I was originally interested in the dual zone but most of the dual zones tend to be around the 70 Quart size which is far more than I need. The smaller ones tend to use a partition wall which I feel takes up too much of the fridge. Maybe one day there will be a true 45qt dual zone. I would be interested in that. And lastly, I keep the peanut butter in the fridge because the oil tends to separate on hot days. Just more convenient than always having to stir it up. Hope you're well! Thanks for the comment and questions
@susans85393 ай бұрын
@@HeyJonMoore Thanks for the clarification on both subjects. I get the oil separation thing (gross), so eliminating that issue with refrigeration makes sense. You stay safe and keep enjoying yourself! I love what you’re doing and hope you continue with your dream. 🥰

@@HeyJonMoore I purchased an ICECO fridge in 2022, and it stopped working correctly. I contacted ICECO. After a review and testing the unit was found to be defective. It was within their 5-year warranty. They sent me a label for the return. When they received my returned fridge, ICECO said that they could not find the Amazon order because of a computer problem, and there was nothing they could do. I filed a complaint with BBB, but ICECO did not respond. ICECO took my fridge, made up a lame excuse, and sent me nothing in return. They still have my fridge.
