when amir said jake sounded like he's dad, and the fact that amir always tries to please his dad (info from the other videos ive been watching in the past hrs) and tHE FACT THAT AMIR. TRIESSS to impress jake as well like why does amir try to impress this 2 people so much is my biggest question in life so far
@dragonx13x10 жыл бұрын
nice observation. sounds like amir has this complex where he wants to please those who he can't, and In turn those who despise him. I love when people analyze the videos and I love the people who are like "stfu it's comedy" no fuck that enjoy it however u want maybe amir has in a sense replaced his dad, once he freaking moved, with Jake, and that's why he wants jake to love him so much. hes evolved from heavily infatuated with Jake, and socially awkward, to a little less obsessed, and a little more evil. he used to be weird, now he's weird and it actively hurts others. the jack of acceptance from his father figure is causing him to become bitter. maybe one day this series will have evolved so much that amir is completely resentful towards Jake, and even more negative. that could actually be really funny
@orchdork7755 жыл бұрын
I know this is an old comment, but to answer your question, it's actually really common for people who struggled to get approval from a parent growing up to end up seeking that approval from someone else later in life. It's like if Amir could gain Jake's approval, then he would retroactively gain his father's approval, because Jake reminds him of his father. This is the reason why some women who had absent or abusive fathers growing up, end up dating abusive men. It can happen to anyone regardless of sex, though. It's really unfortunate, and can be a difficult cycle to break. Im not sure if you've seen Forrest Gump, but the character Jenny is a great example of someone being abused by a parental figure, and then repeatedly struggling with abusive relationships as an adult. Anyways, hope that clears things up if you were still curious 5 years later 😭😊

Only just realised after like the millionth watch that Jake tells him that it's too long. How can a bucket list be too long?
@SteelTrap1711 жыл бұрын
At one point Amir is like "got it, number 419" -- a bucket list is supposed to be a list of major things you want to do before you die... ~500 things is a tad excessive. An ideal bucket list is one that balances awesome things with a list that's actually doable before death.
@minartson10 жыл бұрын
***** The point of bucket list usually is to do things you have always wanted before you die, bucket lists are usually made if you are near death or you know approximate time of death. Nobody has that I have heard of 500 things there, usually they consist max 20 things, since most of them can take months of planning.
