Demiclea you claim Thanos is a hero, but the economy isn’t that simple. First of all, we have plenty of food, but in some places it’s harder to get food, and he just killed MORE than half the people giving it to them cause people in vehicles can die from crashes. Also, the less people there are, the less farmers and stuff there will be.

@cookiecakeeater63404 жыл бұрын

The codename "Terror" could work if the character was an antihero explicitly using it to frighten criminals- you know, a Darkman-style hero or heroine whose very presence can bring an entire bar full of thugs to a nervous, shivering halt like Rorschach in Issue #1 of Watchmen... or maybe someone who explicitly uses a fear-based superpower to immobilize and scare away foes, or force them to admit their inner insecurities so they can work past it. Maybe with a catchphrase like "The Terror compels you!", or "Feel the Terror!" Not some girl in a Rey Mysterio mask with tremor powers. Also, if "the rage was already there!", according to Riot, then I guess that 'activism' of theirs really amounted to squat, since all it took was a little push to turn these post-School Shooting students into murder zombies against the "heroes" who've been attacking the locals while doing acts of charity with one person's healing/infection power. Though something tells me that if these guys had mind control powers, they would've led those same students to trash the nearest Ammu-Nation en masse. EDIT: The funny thing is, when I mentioned Humanoids and Mark Waid's Ignited to the owner of a Local Comic Store, he seemed utterly dumbfounded as to their existence. [kinda works with pictures sometimes] sees someone getting mugged in an ally, just simply points and tells em to "stop fuckin around." [act all innocent random bystander] and if they dont he gets closer causing spacial anomolies to occure and become more violent as he gets closer. and he kills you by, you know how a solid block of swiss cheese has the bubbles in it? well take that and apply it to the human body, he slowly compresses small random pockets of space in and around you taking leaving gaps, holes and spaces ranging from the size of a golf ball, to a simple styrofoam bead then when you drop dead onto the floor or simply drop due to the no dobut severe pain your experiencing he unfolds the space and the missing parts appear where they were when you were standing up, and they fall on you.

@shelby MD, there actually was an old costumed, super-powered super-villain from Marvel Comics code-named Dead Ringer who possessed the superhuman mutant power to shape change into any person who is dead after touching the dead body, and then gain that dead person's appearance, abilities, superhuman mental and physical powers (if they had possessed any in life), and strangely enough, even their weapons, and paraphernalia, duplicating the costume or clothes, the advanced weaponry, and the powerful technology in some as yet unrevealed way (psionic? kinetic? seems more like magic or cosmic). He only can use the effect for a temporary period of time after touching a corpse though, so he collected the severed dead fingers of the corpses of the various super-villains that he used the powers and forms of. He was an arch-enemy of Captain America (Steve Rogers) and wanted to kill Cap so he could take his form and his enhanced human mental, and physical attributes, and even his Adamantium/Vibranium shield and his bulletproof kevlar super hero costume for himself. He is an old character from old issues of Captain America from back in the early 1980s. He hasn't been used since that time.

How are the writers and artists of these books sustain themselves, since nobody buy this. They failed at everything: -These guys failed at even writing propaganda: Our enemy did something bad first (they forgot to let the pro-gun rights shoot first), so it's justified our bloody vengeance. -They failed at exploring the theme because these books are too childish for this adult issue: They could have protagonists on both side so we can understand what each side is thinking, use social media as a second battle ground and a way to connect with the people and maybe rethink their actions on what could they have done better to gain the support of the people, not just declaring that they are right and consider it's done; even have their action affect(negatively and positively) on their family. -They failed at being FUN: They could have the "heroes" fight against an over the top gun themed super villain (first shown as a vague shadow at the school shooting and fully revealed in issue #4 or #5 ) who stared all the school shootings and sells guns to criminals, that caused terror every where, then he sells guns to the scared citizens who only wanted to protect themselves and their love ones; and by destroying the guns and gun stores (own by the villain) they ruined his scheme until they find the evidences linking him to the shooting and help the police catch him. When its all over they turn themselves in and let the people decide judge their action and their fate.

How is this kind of stuff getting made, or even being called “good?” I’m not big into Comicsgate, but Jawbreakers and Cyberfrog definitely have the quality of a comic that SHOULD be in comic stores, while series like these, who are pandering to extreme political ideologies, shouldn’t be a part of the “main stream.” It frustrates me as an aspiring comic writer, and makes me feel like I’ll only be able to get into the mainstream industry by writing trashy, buzzword comics.
