One thing I noticed is that superheroes of the 80s/90s looked like merciless homocidal maniacs, but for the most part were complex and warm human beings on the inside. The really sad thing is that this comic book could work and would probably be quite popular...if Waid and Quattro ditched the Protagonist-Centred Morality and just painted these kids as straight-up Villain Protagonists, slipping into greater and more disruptive acts of terrorism while still firmly believing that they're doing what's right. After all, everyone is the hero of their own story. You know what would be a more genuinely intriguing storyline? Having the Alex Jones expy get superpowers of his own and set out to bring these misguided kids to justice. Along the way, he comes to understand that his confrontational and accusatory style of reporting has played a role on these kids' decision to do the things they've done, and so when he's helped catch them all he returns to his job with a more measured and calmer approach than he previously had. He's more dedicated to finding the truth or being a mediator, as opposed to just pushing his viewpoint.

Nataku's death (I wouldn't say his happily married Wife but he did care about her) and Wufei's inability to detach from his anger over his own inability to save her are sortof his...justification of the wrong word...but explanation for his stupid shortsightedness. While Heero's trying to coldy calculate mission odds (somewhat ineffectively compare to Trowa) and smother his emotions for a "greater good" reason - destroying his own mental health all the while - Wufei's hatred of human nature, inability to conquer his own anger/weakness and that nature, and overwhelming pride mean he's constantly forgetting about the greater good. might be a bit late with this, but- Another stark contrast between this teenagers and the main cast of Gundam Wing was their mission. The Gundam team was sent to Earth on an actual MISSION-they had an objective to raise chaos to put the Earth's army in disarray for their mistreatment of the space colonies. They had a good purpose-like what I'm straining my brain to assume are these troubled teens are trying to do-and ultimately, they end up being their own worst enemy as their indiscriminate attacks-end up ruining chances to make dialogues and talk things out. They done-goofed it AND THEY REALIZED THEY DONE-GOOFED. A bit of trivia-Quatre was actually against this mission, taking his Gundam and looking after his own people at the start. He actually didn't bother to work with the other Gundam pilots since he was busy fighting his own war, until, finally, he eventually joined them. Ironically, he's the one who gets the Wing Zero built, and the one who snaps. Even more ironically, Heero Yuy, the one guy who has no problem taking out targets-except for the one that got away-is the one who stops him. At least, that's what I've seen, I need to finish the show.

It's starting to become increasingly obvious that these are no mistakes, this is an anti-SJW comic in disguise.

Snowflake and Safespace.... That is the proof that they can't realize this is able to be interpreted as Anti-SJW when they are fully serious about this. Whenever you have to ask if they are being serious or not, just remember that they are taking Safespace and Snowflake as serious.

I am so happy that Mark Waid doesn’t have super human powers, you know he’d become a super villain pretending to be a “super hero”, by attacking everyone that dares disagree with him
@zacharyrollick61694 жыл бұрын
Heck, his people don't even need powers for that. The pro-fascist group (I'm calling a spade a spade) Antifa does it just fine.

Zachary Rollick, that’s the truth, these fools attack others at will

The funny thing is that I somehow believe a comic about a team of super-criminals who think they are actually heroes could work out. However, it would have to be self-aware, which means the general populace in the story would not react favorably towards them.

Yeah these type of stories work Actually this particular Story could also work as long as you make the Kids face the Quonsuqenses of their actions maybe even have a Side story that shows us the FBI agents that are after them and Their perspective and ends with the Agents taking these terrorists down

i think the creators know only a very few (crazy) people and reviewers buy these books so they thinks nobody gonna notice all these contradictions and inconsistencies . Yes, they have very high opinion of their customer's intelligence!

They have the making of great villains

It's all good, they didn't destroy Smythe's home, they destoryed it. It all makes sense de-story-ing is what they do with their narratives. Quality all around.

How does PTSD and/or a gunshot wounder give some one super powers?

Wow, you're right, they couldn't even put a single filler issue between the protagonists-escape-from-jail story and the antagonist-who-escaped-from-justice story. Again, wow.

I'm not into comics, never have been. I did however, happen upon one of your posts about 2 months ago. You make it quite interesting. You also have good oratorical skills. Your content is well thought out, but most of all fair. Ever thought of reading stories on KZbin? Cheers.👍

Q) What is the ONE GOOD THING about this comic title?? A) JSG reviewing them!!
@BryceByerley4 жыл бұрын
good lord, I'd LOVE to get the rights to write for this book. These characters could make the most fascinating villains. I'd love to do a sidequel of a law enforcement task force assigned with bringing them in and having to deal with not only the politics, but also having to put down other vigilante groups that pop up on both sides that are inspired by this reign of terror. this has independent-comics version of Civil War written all over it.
