Barry Bend and in Gundam Wing whenever civilians did happen get killed in the chaos of war, the show portrayed it with a heavy emphasis as being tragic and heartbreaking and morally reprehensible. The exact opposite of how the lunatics who wrote this comic portray senseless sadistic violence. Thank God that Japanese entertainment and culture in general is free from Western cultural Marxism. That scene from Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz where Gundam Pilot Herro Yui is cradling a dead puppy named Mary in his arms after a little girl, (Who he had been having a conversation with earlier that day) the puppy’s owner was accidentally killed by one of the bombs he had detonated is one of the most heartbreaking scenes I have ever seen in an anime, made even more heart rending after his superiors insist that he bury his humanity and not dwell on the civilian casualties of war since according to them it doesn’t really matter because the ends justify the means for him to accomplish his mission.

@@calexander7495 right!? And yet, if that was the intention, it could make a fantastic story! Scale is up to the writer I guess... And then a revolution rises up to oppose them. Or end on a sadder note. They win, they truly believe they are utterly in the right, as everyone below them toils in a land with no free speech, thought police, horrific super-powered slaughters in the streets when people try to disagree... Plot twist: they made this to set up another superhero comic run with these characters as the villains.
@dragon_slayer20264 жыл бұрын
Take these exact same characters saying and doing the exact same things, write from the perspective of "these are the villains" (the correct perspective), and add a sane, reasonable protagonist to stand against them (maybe a cop who also secretly has powers), and the concept and setting might actually make for a good book. Shame the good art is wasted on the crap story and script.

Or ( as contrived at it is) a mirrored team of super powered teens to combat them.

I wrote a story once with a liberal sounding less psycho than this lot. I got complaints about him being a parody and it being a straw man argument (despite the fact it actually happened to me in real life) when he said things like this. *sigh*

When their ideology is so stupid that when you list their own arguments to other followers of it, they mistake them as ridiculous straw men...

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I am usually very forgiving with things like showing Mexico as a little 18th century town, or using brown filters, or having year-long Día de Muertos, but somehow I always HATE when they spell Spanish wrong, as they do not really have to use Spanish to begin with. Or they can contact someone from the depicted country to give them the right words (yes, asking someone who has lived their entire life in New York and whose parents are from Puerto Rico is not the best option when showing Spanish spoken in Mexico, for instance). The best is to simply not use it.

Bruh I laugh at the mall part cause I’m 20 and still one of the only hangouts in my town besides the library and parks is the mall. That’s where my local hot topic and Spencer’s are. P.s. I live near Bellingham, WA.

I think Ignited does an excellent job of showing just how deluded the writers actually are. They're writing the story. They literally control all events that take place in it, and even when they have the characters they identify with do things like start fights and terrorize people, they are incapable of acknowledging that's what's happened.

The gun show loophole doesn't exist. Most private owners who sell at gun shows send the gun to the buyer's local gun shop for background checks. Contrary to popular belief, most gun owners *don't* want to sell guns to psycho killers.

Atleast AVALANCHE were trying to do good (stop Shinra from poisoning people with Mako), they’re terrorists and they killed people, but their cause _was_ just. These guys literally just kill people they don’t like, not actively doing harm, not explicitly or implicitly evil. Just people with different opinions.

07:00 not sure if true in US but atleast in some European countries customs, police and other law enforcement branches are actually legally obligated to detain someone suspected of a crime, in other words they would be committing a crime if they dont do their job.

You make an interesting point about the mall. The only time I've ever seen teenagers congregate at the mall was in entertainment media. Even when I was a teen I never heard any fellow teenager talk about going to the mall, not even girls. I never considered the idea that mall gatherings were just boomer delusions.

@Soridan4 жыл бұрын
It's not even that it's incompetent or technically fllawed. I'd understand that. The characters just seem to be made deliberately unappealing, as if appealing characters were bad...or the artist is taking the piss and that's why the evil gun nazis have minorities in them and never pose aggressively and the heroes look like (subtle) caricatures of villains, showing their true colours. I'd like it if the latter was true.
