Yes! I’ve been long distance for 1.5 years now and it’s one of the hardest points in my life. One of those years we were in completely different countries the other half we were in the same country but quite far. I thought it would easier being in the same country but it just makes me wish I could see them more knowing how close they are. I’d absolutely love to hear her perspective

Do whatever makes you feel comfortable, Willlow. Moving can definitely be a daunting task but its worth it in the end (I'm saying this like if I've moved but I've never moved in my life). Obviously I don't know if Dallas is your birthplace or not but if it is, we all branch out at some point and it's okay. I know you're excited for the next venture in your life and thats what counts. Regarding not being on your channel as much, we all have things in life where we don't have much time to be in here. it takes us away from being KZbin as much. You know you've got all of us supporting you along the way. I'm hoping to eventually move out of El Paso (my hometown) and look for opportunities in much bigger cities, tmY

i'm also from texas and never lived anywhere else until i was seventeen. i needed to start looking for colleges when i was sixteen and the idea of moving out of the state had been floated for YEARS before it was finally decided that texas was very much not the place for my parents and i anymore. since im an only child and they wanted to leave AND there was no way we were affording out of state tuition (who could??) we just moved as a unit. pretty unusual for parents to follow their kid to school, but i'm living at home with a 25 min commute to campus in the middle of downtown, so the entire situation is a win for everyone involved. anyway, this is a very long winded preamble for my intended point: my parents had been to the state we moved to once or twice on their own, so when they went back up to seriously look at houses and put an offer down, i stayed home. the first time i ever saw the house i was going to live in was on move in day after a thirteen hour road trip :,) all this to say that a cross country move is always going to leave you in a crazy situation, like moving somewhere you've only seen in person once!!

I’m from the Dallas area and had been living away (east WA) but moving back is a lot better for my future goals and my fiancé’s job and being around my family. Definitely isn’t my favorite place either, especially landscape wise but it’s where my people are lol. I hope moving goes well and that you love your new city!

People totally make the place! I was very alone here so it just was a lot of bad landscape and none of my people. DFW could easily be AMAZING if it’s your vibe and you have your people. I LOVE Washington so so much though (went to school in Spokane) so I totally get it. WA was actually second on my list to live. I’d love to seclude myself in a forest on the San Juan’s 😂

I’d absolutely want to see long distance relationship advice! If you need some structure you could make a post or story on instagram and have people ask questions. Or allow people to put in their advice and talk about it. I’m also long distance for 1.5 years. Videos like those got me through some of the toughest times. But there was the added layer that he’s Japanese so English is his second language plus the cultural differences 😅

@@strawberrybunnyy your reasons for moving to dallas are a big part of it. my #1 reason was to be closer to my best friends, many of whom have now moved away. i like a lot of the restaurants here, and i live in a walkable area, which i enjoy. however, its an expensive city to live in and i work remotely, so i dont reap a lot of the benefits of living here, and i dont feel super connected to the city. i think if you are the kind of person to get out more, and if you feel you will be able to connect with people in your area, then you will enjoy it! just be aware that the urban sprawl is also crazy up here lol and sometimes you’ll have to drive really far to get from point A to point B
