This is one of the practices included in the FREE Plum Village App ➛ plumvillage.app. Every day, Thich Man Tue (Brother Insight) practices the ancient art of qigong at the Blue Cliff Monastery in Pine Bush, New York. This 5-minute swing arms and hands exercise (Khí Công Dịch Cân Kinh) is a very simple qigong, ideal for those who can’t practice with a lot of movements or are recovering from illness. You can practice this qigong by standing barefoot on the yoga mat. You can also start with just 5 minutes and slowly increase the amount of minutes in the coming days.
Enjoy these movements in mindfulness, with a lot of joy and peace.

I use a ⏳⌛ when practicing this Technique. Staying Grounded to Mother Earth. Releasing Negative Energy. Great work workout. 🙏🌅

I noticed my feet and leg alignment were adjusting as more time passed, I kept losing the grip of my toes turned inward like this. This is a new stance for me- should I feel tension in the grip of my toes throughout the 10-15 mins, am I overstraining, or should this go away after awhile? Turning my toes in definitely turns on inner leg muscles I normally don’t feel so that’s probably it- as those strengthen, the inward grip feels less awkward? Thank you 🙏 love this video

I just found out that the tick-borne parasite I have, Babesia, is stopping my blood flow, so my broken humerus from 9 months ago isn’t healing properly. I’m not supposed to use my arm unless necessary, BUT this seems like a good way to get my blood to flow better❣️ I get lightheaded and can’t exercise much nor drive far, so I’m trying to correct this by increasing blood flow naturally with supplements and these types of exercises. Thank you so much!!! 💫🌷

@@sanjana4219 I haven’t received the supplements yet, but I’m trying my yoga again. It’s hard when you can only use one arm. I think my orthopedic surgeon is perhaps worried about clots. I ca keep you posted if you get back to me in about a week❣️🌷

You may practice as many times as you like. Just do as much as your time you have. Begin with 5 minutes a day will be wonderful! Listen to yourself! Have a wonderful day!!

In ten minutes.. If you do 50 times a minute maybe 300 to 400 times in 10 minutes if you don't get tired. Maybe if you do daily for a month or 2 then maybe you will go between 500 to 1000 . Yoga you go more sedentary and slowly since you do slowly while stretching. In Qigong it's all about flow and movement and breathing and toning different muscles as per exercise pattern

@@qilde If you can skip 100 to 500 times or more at a fast pace, why not swing your hands the same no of times. In skipping the Ankle and knees and hips take the load of the body like movable suspension with shock absorbers. Where's in swinging the hands they don't take the load of the body . Keep it simple without strain and gradually repeat repetitions that you feel comfortable. After all more of a warm up for good blood circulation and breathing .
