Bhai.. thank you for bringing these (maybe) lesser known but very critical guests these past weeks, talking about very critical topics in current days. It’s high time someone influential gives people of our generation a wake up call ! Speaking about this particular topic, being a certified nutritionist and exercise coach, I’ve have been preaching these things since more than 10 years now. No one was interested because these so called “influencers” thought otherwise. But better late than never, regardless of who carries the baton. Thank you for your work 🙏🏽

I was one of her clients and she is one of the finest dieticians you can find out there. I was 108 kg when I first went to her and told her about my horrible eating habits due to work. Instead of asking me to abruptly cut everything off my diet, she included all of them in my diet but in controlled quantities. Little did I know that by reducing the quantities gradually, I would reach a stage where I would myself phase out those things from my diet. Came down from 108 to around 90 in a span of around 7 months, just by maintaining healthy eating habits and increasing my water intake, as she has recommended

What was she suggested please explore for person like me who not afford her professional service.. Could you please mention few points as take away... Thanks
@yugankaggarwal278029 күн бұрын
@@Akshaywat a lot of her advice was to stay away from shock-cutting or sudden-cutting of everything unhealthy you were having + an increase in water intake. For instance, I was in college back then and used to have a plate of Cheese Maggi everyday. She asked me to continue with the maggi but without the cheese, knowing that gradually, even the maggi would phase out. Further, she asked me to cut processed sugar portions out of my food. Instead of going for things like iced teas and chocolates, she recommended moving to coffee (one with no sugar) or dry fruits or perhaps dates, to ensure that I am catering to my sweet tooth, but also not impacting my health adversely. Water intake was increased to 4 Litres a day. Water keeps the body in check. Further, protein intake was increased in means which don’t affect me. As in, starting with protein intensive meals from Day-1 would have been infeasible, so she asked me to start with moderate consumption items which have protein (eggs + home-made dahi + dal + soya chunks) Mainly, she asked me to stay away from most of those packaged things. She said, “look at our grandparents, follow the diet they followed”

She is 100% correct about the gaining weight part. Even shahid kapoor said in podcast with beerbiceps that he forced a lot of calories early in his 20s 30s in his body trying to gain weight but that took a toss on his health now and now in his 40s his body has stopped doing that anymore. Hormonal responses, such as insulin sensitivity, also become impaired with rapid weight gain, creating natural barriers to excessive weight accumulation. The body uses several hormonal mechanisms to prevent overeating and excessive weight gain. One key hormone is leptin, which is produced by fat cells and signals the brain to reduce appetite as fat stores increase. Additionally, as more calories are consumed, the body’s insulin response can become impaired, leading to insulin resistance, which affects how efficiently excess calories are stored. The digestive system also releases hormones like GLP-1 and PYY after meals to signal fullness and slow down food intake, making it harder to continually force in large amounts of calories.

I thing the change she's talking about it at 22:38 there is major role of government providing initial push to the farmers by giving them credit and support on crops other than rice and wheat. Rice and wheat was there because we wanted to become self sufficient in terms of food security. We were less worried about protein and more worried about hunger issue. But now times changes I think government need to re adjust their focus from wheat rice to other nutrients rich food crops too.

Hi i liked the entire podcast...quite informative...i had lost weight/14kg in 3months by intermittent fasting 16/8,,9amto 5pm. 💯 vegetarian.now to maintain my weight should i continue IF or eat in normal timing.
@NeilCarvalho-b1u3 күн бұрын
you need IF for the rest of your life. You need to increase the "quality" of the nutrients you consume. The higher the "quality" the safer life will be. Sugar after 30 is pure poison. So are pizzas from major fast food chains. Your body needs high quality unadulterated proteins. The protein needs to be highly bio-available. For me this means eggs. Eggs for the most part cannot be adulterated. The bio-availabilty of protein in eggs cannot be compared to any plant based protein. In addition, to gain the same quantity of protein from plant based sources you will need to consume much more in terms of calories and quantity. This is almost impossible with Intermittent fasting. Your body needs approx 100 gms of protein daily. You will need to eat a minimum of 1 kilogram of paneer to get this quantity. If you are Intermitent fasting can you eat 1 KG paneer. What is more bearable? 1 KG of paneer or 17 soft boiled eggs?

In this Video - 3 Biggest mistakes in the Diet Plan Calculation- 1. All the calculations must be as per IDEAL BODY WEIGHT, NOT ACTUAL BODY WEIGHT. 2. Protein requirement is 0.8-1 gms per kg of Ideal Body Weight and not 2 gms of actual body weight. 3. Fat suggested 1 gm per kg is too much, this reduces the total food quantity and the person will always feel hungry. 👀

@dietgenius1010Ай бұрын
Religiously Navratri and Roza do not always coincide directly with season changes. However, her point was to highlight how these fasting traditions often align with shifts in the environment-whether that’s due to seasonal transitions or other factors that influence our health. For instance, fasting has been shown to help our digestive system reset, which is especially useful when the body is adapting to changes in weather or food availability. It’s more about how these practices help us adapt, rather than strict alignment with seasons.

The reason why weight gain stops or doesn't increase as per "math" is because every gram or kg of weight gain resets the BMR or maintenance calorie limit. So that's why it's not linear. You can create an excel sheet and account for that increase in calorie and then experiment. It fits the math minus plus 2-4kg water weight. Same with weight loss. Metabolism doesn't decrease eirher. Weight doesn't come back with the vengence.
@SR-mv2mfАй бұрын
Everyday with google thinks they are an expert nowadays
@TechGamer-h6iАй бұрын
Nope. Rapid weight loss can lead to a decrease in metabolism because the body responds to a sudden calorie deficit by conserving energy. This is known as “adaptive thermogenesis,” where the body reduces the number of calories it burns in an effort to preserve fat stores, a survival mechanism from our evolutionary past. Additionally, fast weight loss often involves muscle loss, which further slows metabolism since muscle tissue burns more calories than fat at rest.
@codedustingАй бұрын
@@SR-mv2mf I am someone who lost 30kg in a span of 8 months. So I know what I am talking about.
@codedustingАй бұрын
@@TechGamer-h6iIf you make sure you are walking 10km everyday regardless of metabolism, make sure you are taking protein to that of 1.5g per kg of body weight, and fruits, and then you can just eat 800-1000 calories per day. Metabolism works like math. What happens is that when you eat less, your body in order to conserve energy makes you feel tired and you don't move much. That's how it does it. It doesn't break the law of thermodynamics.
