The Best Homemade Cherry Pie Recipe

Making cherry pie is easy - all you need is a little patience when pitting the cherries. We promise it’s worth it. You can use sweet cherries, sour cherries or a combination of both, just remember to dial the sugar back or up depending on what you choose.

I made this today for my husband because cherry pie was his one birthday request. I hate cherries but this was actually really good. Especially with that super flaky crust. He couldn't get enough of it and said it's one of the best cherry pies he has ever had. Thanks for making me look like a total bad ass lol. One question though. How do you store it? I just have it plastic wrapped and on the counter. Is that ok?

You can. Since frozen cherries will be a bit more watery once they thaw, we recommend thawing and draining them before making the pie.
