Can you use a steamer on the leather?
@MirandaDetailing
@MirandaDetailing 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah you can…just don’t overheat the leather or vinyl and don’t get to close.

Good work. Love hearing the dialog between you & Mrs. Miranda!!!! Personally I'd have just bought new carpet mats if it were my car. Question: my husband scratched the plastic on my interior black door. How can I remove the scuff?
@MirandaDetailing
@MirandaDetailing 5 жыл бұрын
🤣 Thanks! Aw man. Is it an actual scratch or just a scuff? Proceed with caution: but using a heat gun carefully heat the area and it can remedy the plastic a little and hide the scratch.
@Aplumgirl

@@MirandaDetailing actual scratch. I tried interior detail spray that cleaned it but the scratch is still there. Size 13 feet and a Corolla don't mix well 😥

Awesome results and a great video. Please use gloves and a respirator. My lungs are shot. You NEED a respirator when using solvents, APC and degreasers.
@MirandaDetailing
@MirandaDetailing 5 жыл бұрын
I know. I do agree on that. I try to when it’s really bad, but with gloves my hands suffer from Dermatitis and gloves make my hands crack and bleed if I where them for to long. Good tips man! Thanks😎👍🏼

How do you keep the carpet from getting all stiff and "crunchy" once it dries? I used 3D carpet cleaner, and extracted with a spotclean.
@MirandaDetailing
@MirandaDetailing 3 жыл бұрын
Depending on the dilution rate and the type of cleaner, they don't always dry crunchy. i also use a damp MF towel to mop up the fabric and carpets and that helps rinse the cleaner out. If they do end up being crunchy feeling you can mist Vinegar diluted 1:2 and brush it in the fibers, it will neutralize the cleaner and make the fabric soft again.
@MoySauze

Alright, I'll try that out, thank you!

Are you using LA Awesome for your interior APC?
@MirandaDetailing

I used to. It was a great strong chemical to use for super nasty jobs. It’s still ok to use on certain stubborn stains.

I love ur videos to begin with; but when it becomes to leather. What type chemicals you use? Do you use conditioner after cleaning to avoid the wrinkles and cracks on leather.?
@MirandaDetailing
@MirandaDetailing 5 жыл бұрын
Thanks...it all depends on how bad the leather is...currently we use Meguiar's Leather Cleaner and then their Leather Conditioner which is awesome! We also have used different conditioners and protectants like 303 Aerospace Protectant, and Xtreme Solutions Leather Magic both are also amazing products.

Great video. What kind of chemical are u using to clean the leather and what's the dilution ratio u using?
@MirandaDetailing
@MirandaDetailing 5 жыл бұрын
Thanks. We are using 3D Super Citrus APC and their ratios are a little different. So I mix it pretty strong since we deal mostly with gross vehicles. We mix it at their recommended strong mixture which is 4oz to a gal. So about 1:32.

Great job! fellow mobile auto detailer here from Chicago! quick question, what brand "magic eraser" did you use for the interior? I use the name brand thinner magic eraser and it doesnt hold up very well, and tends to fall apart after some use. your seems stiffer and thicker. Thanks!!!!!!!

Magic sponge is your best ally for light leathers and plastic trims👍👍 Why don't you use your rotary brush for the interior fabric carpet ? Would be much quicker and easier than a simple brush 🤔🤔
@MirandaDetailing
@MirandaDetailing 5 жыл бұрын
Totally! Sometimes I use the rotary brush but I find it ticks up to much dust and particles. When I work alone I use it. But when my wife is working with me which is 98% of the time it’s best to keep each work area and the air as particle and dust free as possible. 😎👍🏼

Awesome video like always !! Question .. would you say the result would have been a lot different if you steamed and extracted the carpet ? Or do you base that on how bad the carpet is ?
@MirandaDetailing
@MirandaDetailing 5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! It depends, sometimes I hit the carpets with steam and it doesn't make a difference, same goes with the extractor. If the carpets clean up acceptable without having to get them any wetter, that's what I shoot for.
@miamartin2330
@miamartin2330 5 жыл бұрын

Yes sir, magic sponge all day, every day on those grungy ones! I don't even waste my time with the brush, your always going to need to need the sponge at one point anyways...I just keep rinsing it in a bucket of ONR, and by the end of the detail, the bucket is black! LOL Those generic ones are better, softer and easier to conform to curves.

Hey how are ya!?!?! im a detailer in Chicago. What generic brand magic sponge was this used in the video? or what brand do you use? I use the brand name magic eraser and it seems to break down and fall apart quickly. the one in the video is definitely thicker and seems stiffer. Thanks man!
