I have been intermitten fasting for over 10 years! Many times over people told me I was going to mess up my metabolism, harming my body, etc. I didn't listen to them because I knew how AMAZING I felt eating this way. Thanks for sharing your update-- I am glad that more individuals are willing to try something new. #HealthIsWealth

I have been IF for 5 weeks. I have lost 30 lbs. I have cut out bread, pasta and sugar. I also stay just under my caloric limit for weight loss which is 1000 calories. I eat only once a day. I feel 20 years younger. I have 40 lbs left to lose. I'm going to do it.

Kristy Marie~Have you tried Ezekiel low carb bread. Veggie omelets are very versatile. You can add a variety of veggies...avocado,spinach, bell peppers, garden tomatoes and zucchinis are abundant right now. And if you haven't tried Tammy's chia pudding recipe it's amazing! I keep it in a mason jar and add...fruits & nut. Sometimes a little yogurt along with So-Delicious Coco whip. That's truly a treat!

CMT...I started IF with your last video on it and I lost the last 10 lbs I have been trying to lose for years. No matter how much I walked, or how I watched what I was eating...nothing budged that scale. IF has become a way of life for me too. I just went for my annual and my doctor noticed from my stats that I had lost weight. I told her what I was doing and she actually told me to not try to lose any more weight!! She said I am at a healthy BMI . So now I am doing IF Monday-Friday and having my weekends free to eat when I want. I'm hoping this helps me to maintain this weight...135lbs. If I keep losing I will take another day away from IF and so on till I do find the right fit for me. Thank you for these vids. I'm sure you don't even know how many people you help ...but I wanted to tell you that you were my inspiration ( along with some wonder cyber friends).

Miss Tammy I was already doing the intermittent fasting when I saw your first video and was very encouraged by it. I am a type 2 diabetic and my doctor was thrilled when I told him I was doing it. Also he strongly encouraged me to try keto but it is just a little too strict for me so I try to stay under 50 net carbs a day. Since the 3rd week of June I have lost 22 pounds and I am so excited. I have already been able to stop my insulin per doctor's approval. I have at least 60-70 more pounds to go and at age 57 I am going to have loose skin and skin removal will not be an option for me so I will just have to camouflage it the best that I can. Thankfully I have a husband that loves me no matter what my weight or how I look.

After reading all the replies I'm researching IF after I post this. For the last month I've been following a mostly raw eating plan, green smoothie around 11am gets me to the middle of the afternoon then it's a big salad for a meal around 2pm. I love the freshness of the food and almost feel disgust when I see anyone eat a fast food meal...no color and so unhealthy! I stopped drinking coffee and tea 14 years ago, was difficult for a few weeks but so happy I did it and no longer need that cup in the morning to get me going. Thank you for the info on the bone brew too, lost both our wee dogs last year (they were brothers) and have adopted a Westie who had a heart problem. She had heart surgery and doing well but I want her diet to be the best possible so will look into that product. Thank you for sharing!

You are a very "smart" lady. Your comment regarding your husband, not changing/judging his desire to eat meat. In my profession many women make the mistake of trying to "encourage" there spouse to eat, think, like, everything they do. Not good. Our spouses are our life partners. They are not our children to be groomed or persuaded to our way of thinking/eating/reading/liking. It does not work out well in the long run... So "smart" you are. May you enjoy many more years of happiness/friendship with your "Louie". He is very lucky (and I am quite certain) proud to be your husband. I love your videos. I trust your opinions. I am thankful for your research and hard work. I can honestly say, "you have never steered me wrong!" Thank you Tammy, yesterday I came upon a chiropractors videos discussing IF. I much prefer your approach of clean, mindful eating over 8 hours. Although informative, his was too intense and very low carb. Your method is actually sustainable which is what is important to me. Thanks again for having us stop, look and listen to ourselves as we age. I never had to stop and assess before I was 50 and didnt give myself the attention. You have done a wonderful job over the years I have been watching in getting me to watch for changes and providing solutions to address them.

Sometimes this makes me give up my healthy eating plans for a time (and believe me I have no time to waste) in that department. But we gotta keep stumbling along ...right? Hi Tammy, I've been following you for several years now. I just got the phone call today that my nine year old scottie girl has terminal liver cancer. I immediately remembered this video and you discussing Nugget's Bone Broth. I located a store near my home that carries this product. Hi Tammy! Wonderful video. I travelled back to WNY, my home state, at the end of July for my 40th (yikes) class reunion. I was feeling less than great due to my weight gain of 23 lbs- menopause had really taken hold this past year......then travelled back again last weekend for a wedding. I always drive the 8 hour trip in one swoop. That usually means coffee and this time I drank pop. I NEVER DRINK POP. Let me tell you, this past Monday when I woke up, my joints were sore. My toes looked like sausages.....my skin was gray and my hair was lifeless. I put my pudgy foot down and started IF, whole foods only with increased veggies and fruits. What a difference! The body is amazing. Once you "detox" and clear your thinking and feel happier and more energized, the more you want to share the news with others. You're so right in not denying yourself. Our date night was last night and we had some cocktails and artisan pizza. My joints might night feel the best today, but again, increasing water and eating whole foods again today will be the goal. I know this is a long winded comment, but I whole heartily agree that we don't have to succumb to the menopause middle and saddle bags. We can affect a change in our health long term. Thanks always for sharing your heart and info!

You're so sweet. My mom was a southern cook and hospital dietician (along with Masters in Biology, physiology and home economics). She constantly had a bone broth simmering on the stove and cooked rice, chix, sweet potatoes and I don't know what all for her English Springer Spaniel. I think my parents spent about $25,000 dollars on new ear canals for that dog. He was loved. That large dog lived healthfully other than the ear issue for 22 years. I am a firm believer in the home cooking and the bone broth. I miss Nebo. Thank you for sharing this bone broth with me. I will be integrating it into my fur babies diets🌸🌺👍

OMG! You could be telling my story with the weight gain FOR no REASON, no change of diet, activity, lifestyle, etc., but it just WOULD not go away and in fact kept gaining! I gained in the same places as you did too! I have tried diets that DID not do a darn thing, but I am going to do the fasting like you are doing. I NEVER used to eat breakfast, I always and STILL do cook all my food, no fast food or take out, but I am a night owl and would eat late in the day. I CAN'T go to bed hungry! I don't go to sleep until about 2:30- 4 a.m.! So it is a LONG night if I starve from 6p.m. But the way you explained it all and the eating times and all that you gave tips about are a real help!! THANK you for sharing !! I am cutting the yogurt too, and I LOVE it, so it will just have to be a treat now and then. BUT I have my LaCroix, avocados, and other things to hold me over!

I'm so excited to try intermittent fasting now. I could never see myself going for a day without eating so I have never thought this would work for me, you have given me a new idea that I am going to start on Monday. I always felt hungry a hour or so after eating breakfast, so I'll just wait and eat at noon, and end at eight like you. I am 66 and have not been able to keep my middle under control, your idea sound links something I could do for a lifetime change. I'm not one that makes comments very often but I so enjoy your videos, your smileAnd approach to beauty and health have been so helpful in giving me a mature outlook that's not "all or nothing" approach to a health lifestyle. I DO need to be more mindful and clean up my diet a bit more though. Many thanks...you are just glowing and so beautiful.❤️ Had to add that you have such control to eat just a square or two of the chocolate...once I eat surgery foods I overeat. I'm working on it. Excellent food staples you shared & some I will certainly try! Ok, so you mentioned that you have trigger foods too, that makes me feel not so bad about mine.😊. Stay well. Xoxoxo P.S. I've only lost about 5 pounds, but I didn't need to lose more than that really. My problem is tummy pouch, and saddle bags. Since doing the IF I feel more toned and look slimmer. I feel better overall.

Coming to your channel in April I heard you speak of the intermittent fasting. I have looked at others taking about it. But this morning a bell rung in my hard head. It was something you said well everything you had to say and seeing the difference in you. You look so healthy and slimmer and your skins glows. It is not only that you can eat normal foods but your showing some really healthy food that are at hand easy to get. I do have a whole food market in Peachtree City. And I plan on going there and do most of my shopping it is about 30 miles from where I live here in Georgia but, it will be well worth the drive. Now to get my husband on track with me all I can say is just pray. I think he will come around once he sees the benefit of eating with out having to do with out and how much better our health will be by doing so. Thank you for sharing all that you do . I so look forward to seeing you when you have something to show and tell. Love hugs and kisses from Shirley in Georgia

I am not the best eater, but I have a desire to make healthier choices. I eat out a lot and I also eat a lot of processed foods, so this is something I will be working on. Thank you for showing some of your staples! I love what you shared about your dogs ♥️ I have a dog who has major GI issues and it breaks my heart. She also has allergies. Unfortunately she is on a prescription food right now of hydrolyzed protein. I know how bad it is, but she is stable. When my dog (son) Jasper has had diarrhea I have given him only white rice because there's a lot of fiber in brown rice. He also primarily eats chicken, rice and broth, with a little oregano sprinkled on top. He also has a small amount of yogurt and egg daily. Once in a while he has a small amount of salmon or ground beef, but too much of either seems to upset his stomach. He's 14 years old and doing great! We spend 120.00 per month not counting their treats. They are so precious to us. Thank you for the love you send to all of us. Menopause has been my enemy from the get go. 29 pounds later , night sweats and becoming a totally different person I am at my wits end. love your videos. Hope you Lou and the girls have a great weekend.💖✨💖✨💖

So happy to have found you! I too am turning 58 this month and my body has been heavier than ever in my life the past few years during menopause. I have lost about 17 pounds but have been stuck there. I have always struggled with breakfast and she recently started intermittent fasting doing 16/8! It fits my lifestyle very well.

I am excited about getting started. I did the intermittent fasting for about a week and a half - then had a family reunion and bounced back to previous bad habits. I plan to start again now I need to loose about 25/30#. Thanks for the review of healthy foods to keep on stock. It was fun to review what you eat. Deb :-)

Tammy-This video resonated with me. Not only am I going to try the intermittent fasting but I am running to my pet store for the bone broth. I feed my Shih Tzu Stella and Chewy's raw. It has been a lifesaver but sometimes he still gets those tummy issues. Thank you SO much for sharing. I always know I can trust you! ❤️

Thanks for the great video! I have also been doing IT, I love it. I agree the biggest difference has been that your stomach does shrink after a couple of months. I am just not as hungry and my stomach is finally getting flat. I am still exercising but definitely not as much as I was when I was eating differently. Keep us posted on your progress.

I have made a change is my eatting and and made it my way of life. I have incorporated the 8/12 intermittent fasting paired with whole foods plant base foods. I feel amazing. My energy level has went thur the roof. The pounds have just melted off. I am so glad I did this. I love drinking the coconut water, the passion fruit and the berry is my favorite. Awesome job Miss Tammy. Wishing you the best. Here's to healthy bodies. :)

Great tip on Nuggets Bone Broth. My dog has allergies to most everything. Tried medications (long and short term prescription drugs) tried dips (every 2 weeks at the vet in conjunction with prescribed medications) seeing some improvement but still has symptoms. I am anxious to try this bone broth. Hopefully it is helpful. Thx again for sharing all your information and tried and true lifestyle choices. For us and our pets...

One of the best and informative videos I've seen in a long time. You should do more. Your insight, feedback, and results really speak for themselves. Thank you for sharing such healthy knowledge for us older gals and for our furbabies. Your ability to speak with such passion makes me excited to make much needed changes for myself and my pets. I don't comment often, but I hope our feedback let's you see how thankful and appreciative we are for your willingness to share what's working for you and help us in choosing products. It can get overwhelming researching and shopping but you help to cut out the clutter. Thanks again for all you do to offer us great content suited to this 46yr olds reality.

You are precious. Thank you for the video. I feel encouraged about fasting by you and Lou. I love my dogs and make their food myself. Blossom is 15 and going blind, makes me cry to think of losing her one day. That's the one tough thing about having dogs. 😢

Congrads on the weight loss! It is all good, I am building up to this, this menopause is very sneaky. I like your plan, basic and simple. My trainer likes the motto nothing after dark (harder in the winter.)

Tammy...I thought I was the only one that cooks my dog, Petey, his food! I too make brown rice and chicken for him AND throw in some cooked veggies too. He is 10 years old and very healthy! I will look for Nugget's Bone Broth just the same. I do intermittent fasting as well. It's very good for you and I am MORE FOCUSED when I fast. So all of this is great advice. Congrats on your and Louie's weight loss!

Hi I love the fact that I stumbled across your channel. You touched a sore spot when you said that when menopause started for two years you couldn't lose a thing, Well right this very moment I am in this. My harmones are here there and everywhere. I am still on IF but haven't lost anything yet.I hear it make take some time. But since June-July and I lose and regain the same 5-7 pounds. Right now I'm 177 have gotten to 175 but it goes right back up. I too sometimes very my feasting time from 12-8. But lately I' ve been going to 3 0r 4 o'clock. And my mind can make me do it. It's not hard for me anymore. But mostly I'm 16 hrs.I won't give up. Congratulations to you.

28lbs!! That is awesome! Way to go 🙌🙌🙌 so HARD to loose weight! I started meal prep about 4 weeks ago, threw out all the candy junk and soda that I've lived on for 35years. I've moved to low cab.... chicken, rice, fruits, vegetables and water, more of clean eating. (1 Article Circle shake on Sunday) not loosing as much as I hoped. I'd love to hear a lot about this journey because I think my next step is intermittent fasting. And I am loving sparkling water 💦 yum yum!!

Congratulations Tammy ! You go girl!! Your excitement and energy are inspiring. I may have to do weight watchers with the intermittent fasting. I eat pretty healthy but since my trauma from GBS, I gained 50 lbs.!! All the pain meds and fatigue are doing me in so I'd better get cracking sooner rather than later. Thanks for the update. Hugs from Canada xo

What a great video! I need to start this and become serious about it. Will turn 49 in few weeks and loosing wright is a real problem. It was never eady my whole life but now became impssible. Will have to find your earlier videos about this subject. I am also one of those that had it drilled into me to never skip breakfast.

I have been following you IF journey and I think something just clicked for me watching this video. I have been trying to do IF and it just hasn't been working. I'm 46. Whenever my last meal is in the evening...lets say Im hungry around 930pm. I have been using that as my window for when I start my IF. BUT i think I should be doing the opposite lol. Im not sure if Im making much sense. But I haven't been doing an eating window. Ive just been using my last meal of the day as my time I start fasting. I think this is where Ive been struggling. Thank you so much for sharing this journey. Im so excited for you and happy! I can really see the difference in your face!

Love doing my IF! I have lost 20 lbs since June 6 of this year. I have not given up any of the foods I love and I won't. The La Croix water has been my saving grace during my fasting hours. My husband has been doing this as well and is doing very well with it. I do love breakfast as well so I have it around noon. My energy level is through the roof when I get up in the morning so that is the time of day that I get the most of my exercise in.

intermittent fasting is awesome! however cutting sugar, breads, pastas and eating a very high protein low carb diet is key I am on day 45 and have lost 23 pounds and I wasn't even fat so that shows you right there that you can cut pounds very quickly even if you are on the thinner side. plus I drink a gallon of water a day you have to drink a gallon of water a day you have to did I say that too many times lol and drink lots of green tea and lemon and ginger tea. I cannot stress this enough one gallon of water a day during your intermittent fasting.

Looking great, Tammy. I love nuts and avacados. Just bought 2 bags at Costco. Trying to get my husband to try the intermittent fasting with me, but he loves his wine and beer. He’s German. What can I say! I’ve lost 16 pounds doing low carb and no breakfast! This works!

I just started IF. This is my second week. I used to never eat breakfast until I started trying to lose weight and all the articles told me to eat first thing in the morning. Now here I am, bigger than I was before I started "losing weight" I think IF is going to help me a lot, at least I hope it is. Thanks for the video.

Finally a video i can love.. so many out there on intermittent fasting.. I just started a few days ago.. i have put on 25lbs with menopause.. it has really been a battle of trying to get back to who i was.. the weightgain has really got me down and depressed.. feeling like crap.. tried every single diet but this.. so far so good. And like you said .. i don't crave.. no bingeing yet this week.. not its the weekend and i think i might want junkfood just because its a bad habit.. not that i really crave it.. i think this just may work.

I find myself going 18 or 19 hrs some days without even thinking about food. My problem is the foods I eat during the feeding hours, too many carbs. I need work on that to see better results. I started in mid June & lost 11 pds. I'm confined to a wheelchair so exercising is difficult. One more thing, I'm starting to feel better & yr right Ms Tammy my mind seems clearer. I love this, it fit my lifestyle perfect so it's easy. Thank you for introducing this to me.

Hi Tammy! This was so helpful and interesting!!! I lost my menopause weight the traditional way by eating better and exercising a lot, and now I am trying to get my husband to try the intermittent fasting because he can't lose weight. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻. Also, have you seen Dr. Dray here on KZbin? She mentions all the kinds of foods you mention and cooks things that I think you would enjoy 😊. Also, please know how impressed I am at the love and care you show your precious pets. They are so lucky to have you!! Lots of love to you 🌈🌈🌷😘

Thank you so much for this video, Tammy! I loved hearing your update and what you do. I started intermittent fasting about 2 weeks ago, and I think it has helped me. I've also added Essentrics (Miranda Edmond White--she's fantastic!!) to my exercise routine, which is really helping with my joint pain in my feet and ankles and knees. I walk, as well. I have a long way to go, but I think these changes are things I'll be able to carry forward and continue. I love that La Croix water, too! I gave up soda years ago, and that really hits the spot when I want something fizzy. My favorites are the Peach Pear and the PommeBaya, but I like that coconut flavor, too--esp in summer! Be well, and thank you again for sharing your successes with us and how you look after your health!!! And oh my goodness, I'm sorry about Harly and Lulah!!! I hope they are both feeling better.
