I can run a half marathon without breaking a sweat but super fast sprinting was killing me so I stop long runs and focus only on sprinting. 20 minutes sprint Is way more effective than 2 hours of jogging.

If you are running a half marathon and not getting tired you are not running fast enough, try diminishing your time, sprinting is awesome and should be in your training every week but running long distance is also very beneficial to your health and conditioning.

I've been telling people this for years. Love this type of routine because there is so much you can add to the end-zone body-weight exercises to mix things up. I also set up my TRX on the goal post and hit the whole body and sprint after each set. In 30 minutes, I'm exhausted and done. Great Stuff! Thanks Jake!

Honestly I lost about 97 pounds in the last year and a half by mostly just jogging long distance, and eating right of course. I feel like sprinting can help me attain an even higher level of fitness that I wouldn't be able to get to by simply jogging. I've also recently added weight lifting to my regime and it's garnered great results.

Im researching sprinting as a fat burner because i noticed last year (after joining a five a side football team) that the burst's of sprinting were really helping my body shift off the weight that normal 5k runs were not. I always push myself to sprint at the end of every 5k run however i think im going to dedicate one session a week to purely sprinting. Great video, thank you!

I have been trying to lose weight ever since having my 3 babies and it’s taken a year and I have gone down 28lbs. I tried a lot of stuff on KZbin and weight training uphill walking etc but I went back to my favourite as a teenager and doing sprinting intervals and honestly I’m losing that belly fat that other workouts couldn’t do. It really shreds me. I hope I can keep doing them forever.

It varies from person to person and the studies that have been done have had varying results but i would estimate close to 100 calories post workout. The workout itself will also burn a lot of calories so this a great workout for burning a lot of calories and getting in shape as interval training burns fat and not muscle. For more info on the amount of calories you burn after your workout visit our my phenom fitness website and check out the article titled "Burn Calories While Doing Nothing Via

All ya gotta do: 35 mins easy run with some "Pick-ups" in it...stretch....Very important.....then 8-10 x 200 meters, with good form [get the knees up]......then, 12 mins weights, with some Olympic lifts, light in there......on Saturdays, with some stepmill and some running in the week......all salads, and soups homemade, no salt, nuts and berries....I went from 170-141 lbs, 5'foot 9.5", in 10 weeks, and even ate what I wanted on Sundays.......that's 7 years ago, still holding, and I'm almost 50!!!!

Great, you can be proud of yourself! Although I do not think no salt, nuts and berries is that healthy... all salad and soups? Where do you get your Nutrients? I dont eat meat but where do you get your protein/fats if you only eat veggies? Not all fats are bad, unsaturated fatty acids are good (in moderation) and nuts are full of them! Maybe I misunderstood your post, but I personally wouldn`t eat like that.

It's a total of 15 sprints, and combined with anaerobic excercise it makes it much more intense. Thanks for the video. You have a very good physical condition, I believe this is an advanced category for sprint training. I do a total of 9-10 sprints also combined with anaerobic excercise and end up destroyed. Nice.

I'm gonna tell yall right now that SH!T is hard as all HELL. You've got to work your way up to true interval training. I do it about four times a week now, but it will definitely lean you down and strengthen your heart. Back when I use to compete in NPC Women's Figure, interval training was one of my three workouts per day.

Start with where you are. Do what you can from this video, even if its a little bit then work your way from there. You'll know when to increase it overtime. Just listen to your body

This is great, whether youre starting out or not. Just dont halfass it. Makes me remember the good ol track days. Intervals get you into kickass shape if done correctly and consistently, guaranteed.

HIIT might not be as effective as a female. Less glycogen storage makes you worse at explosive training and higher levels of body fat and estrogen allows you to burn fat more easily. You also have a harder time recovering from HIIT training than men, and with less results. Give this a look. bayesianbodybuilding.com/why-women-should-not-train-like-men/

This is GREAT!! My boyfriend just got me into sprint training to help me get past the weight loss plateau that I've come to. He runs track (100m) and plays football (running back) so showed me a couple drills to incorporate into my workout routine. Honestly, I was surprised at how fast I am! I will definitely be trying this drill out tonight for a little change up from the other drills. Thanks!

HITT training is one way to burn fat yes. But really all you need is caloric deficit
@CxStark

@thomasclark5413
@thomasclark5413 8 жыл бұрын
+Cx Stark I know but in terms of body composition, increases or decreases to body fat levels can be influenced by calorie intake. Simple terms: if you eat less calories than what your body burns (caloric deficit) on a daily basis, you will lose weight. If you eat more calories than what your body burns (caloric surplus) on a daily bases, you will gain weight. Its that simple.

Listen to my mistake...I thought you were running the 100...I've never run the 100 or 200 before...I've been playing amateur Australian Football for 21yrs...I already run hills and stadiums....So I watch your video and I'm fired up...I do a real hard 2 mi jog/run to UNC Kenan Football stadium...rest...and run 8 dash 100s as hard as I can...but every time I have to walk it back while doing some pushups...I thought I was going to puke for the next 2 hrs...I got a migraine headache...I think there were a couple UNC footballers laughing at me...after 100 run 6 7 8 times I was a walking mess...And then I wake up at 3am with my left ass cheek literally on fire like something out of the movie "Poltergeist"...But it was worth it to hear that background music.

Wait so you do this entire thing without any breaks in between? Like the 6 sets of sprinting and then immediately into the 3 sets of pushups and then continue onto the rest? No wait in between?

Walkin back is condo your rest, the point of sprint intervals is to keep your body moving
@raymanlegy
@raymanlegy 8 жыл бұрын
I would think so. It's high intensity training so you're supposed to take like 30 to 60 second pauses between reps. Go balls hard, rest for a short period and go hard again. Best way to burn fat. The key is no to stop moving but not to totally drain yourself till you're dying either.
