@jeremyc1034 For sure as long as you lift hard and get your protein in you can eat plenty carbs and fats just don't eat dogshit foods with no nutrients 24/7

Little or no difference is good news for any diet. The most important factor in any diet is your adherence, so a study to say it will do no harm means it’s good to go if it works for you. Just don’t make a diet your personality

i'll say this much, kicking the carbs to a tiny amount and using a higher fat diet i feel 100% better in all ways, i wouldn't say that i'm nessacarily doing keto but keeping the carb's to fruit's and veges mainly and keeping to whole single item foods has greatly helped (if your dying to keep bread around there are low-carb options these days)

Maybe if you have a low TDEE where you don't end up in a -800 cal/day deficit like I do once the extra fat and ketones shuts down my appetite. I'd have to force feed myself to be in a calorie surplus while following keto macros.

I care more about building muscle. Are there any studies on Vince Gironda's protein shake recipe and muscle building?

You dont need a study to know that this recipe will make you fart as a horse. Other than that - just be a normal person and eat your eggs in an omelet. Have some meat for every meal, and drink two normal protein shakes between meals. Sleep 8 hours, work out at least 3 times a week for at least 1 hour and get more than 2500 calories a day. Thats it.

Its been 10 years... at what point does it not become a fad? Its only getting more popular with carnivore as well... so its still growing.

Only problem with trying keto is…… money !!😂😂 I don’t have that kind of money to fill my diet only with protein and fats, especially protein. Cant afford chicken fish meat everyday Carbs are less expensive that’s the reason they are a staple in a lot of countries

I don't do keto and don't wanna. But 150_200 g protein every day. Pricey enough. Dairy and eggs is the way to go most the time on a budget. For a really tight budget it's soy products and all plant protein. Plant protein powders without Additives are 8-10 bucks per kg bought in bulk.

They only did one lift, a single,if they had to perform multiple exercises for reps,you would see a huge drop off on Keto diet

Yeah I managed to make gains in 1RM for a little while on keto but even just regular 10-rep sets got exhausting so quickly. So fine for maintaining or adding some strength during a cut but for a bulk the carbs are coming back.

As long as you didn't train within 24 hours - a Keto/Regular person would have the same amount of glycogen in their muscle to perform whatever. Carb fueling is really around the 20 min mark... or to replenish more quickly after the workout.
