Don't pay attention to this type of people. Fresco has some pretty serious haters. I guess it makes sense. The guy is 97 years old! For people who like to fixate on character defects, I'm sure he is an easy target. 97 years is plenty of time to make more than a few mistakes. He is only human, after all. Fortunately for us, his qualities greatly overcome his defects. At least in my not so humble opinion

For me, teaching those with disabilities and/or disorders in itself is the reward. However, my society threatens me the outdated monetary-market system which hinders me so much, because it takes my focus away from my goal which is to better and enrich the lives of those with disabilities and/or disorders. I want to share what I had gained to overcome my own disabilities and disorders to help others to do the same. Money involved in it is just a means to live in the system and to be allowed to do that (money is needed to gain the degrees and certifications needed to become a SPED teacher). I hate the monetary-market system because it corrupts the focus away from the main goal. If I didn't need to worry about earning money to acquire the things I need and want in order to do my job, I would be even more effective as a teacher, mentor and guidance for my students. That is why I love the Venus Project. It makes so much more sense.

one thing tho, unless people are prepared to have every human fetus altered before it is born, we will never "solve death." we have figured out what causes death, but there is really no way to fix it without extensive genetic engineering of human beings. what causes death are the telomeres in our cells. the shorter the telomeres, the shorter the natural life, the longer the telomeres, the longer the natural life will be

11:25 "The real scientist is more concerned with knowledge, more concerned with how well a system works, and If he has no concern for people, and if his motivation is only money, I would say that most people distrust people whos motivation is only money" And I, like many people in the world today, have done many things for money, although most of the time unconciously, because we all live in a monetary environment. I never thought about it this way.

There are two ways to think about the times that we live in. First is same as of you "Oh what a waste of life or what a bad times we live in" or the second with the positive attitude of "We are the generation who has opportunity to change the way of life for the future generations :) "

The one single point of TZM/TVP i disagree with is the attitude towards competition. Having loved both team and individual sport my whole life, i am well aware of the motivation that 'being the best' inspires, and this does not necessarily a negative motivation, it is entirely dependent on the individual and their own inner motivations for wanting to achieve it. Cold hard science has its place, but not to the exclusion of everything else.

One thing Jacque does not mention is the fact that most people that give up the monetary incentive, still have the ability to provide their basic needs. So, how is that possible? They don't have to worry about shelter, food, water, or clothing. Their money motivates food from the grocery store. Money motivates their door to not post an eviction notice. Money motivates their car to maintain gas. MONEY DOES NOT MOTIVATE. IT IS ONLY THE WORST DRUG EVER INVENTED. Only if Bath Salts were free!

@itsadeadmansparty u dont understand the function of money if u think a computer can replace it. money is used as an incentive to work. it is used to limit consumption to production. and it is a way for me to consume a completely different batch of goods and services than u do. the only way to accomplish that is to price everything based on how much of our total productive capacity it used up and give everyone their own income to spend. so u need money, not a supercomputer!

Also, that it will be a long and difficult process and things will never be just perfect.I don´t agree with everything he says though. The only reason people think greed will exist is because they are thinking in the current mindset. For example..in the future in a RBE.. if everyone had a ferrari..then people wouldnt envy others cuz everyone has everything anyways. Greed comes from getting as much as u want for yourself knowing that someone else cant get what u have. Its a mental corruption of the mind thats created in this type of system.

@evilpiggehz Yeah that was probably too general a comment for this particular video! I was referring to TZM as a whole, as I was under the impression (after listening to alot of peters lectures) that his attitude to sport was to see it as 'unnecessary/counter productive'. Believe me, you would struggle to find a bigger advocate of TZM than me, but that was the one and only point i disagree with and for that reason it stood out in my head. Thanks for the reply tho bro! I agree with your thinking but I think money is first by far. Money can buy better health, literally, or lack of money can suppress health. Money also buys freedom as well as supress' it. So money does rule all and changes our moral views. Things that seem immoral become moral quickly when money is involved. Not for all but its clearly the biggest problem in our society.

Jacque speaks openly with truth for 60 years but his ideas dont fit the current system so hes a radical. Radically innovative.

these guys need some true materialists in their circle. the most abstract-minded people actually believe in the future or end-goals. ppl have needs, which have to be met not in 10-50 years, but hours, days, weeks, hours. They need food, shelter, and involvement in society; they and we do not have the luxury of time, not ever. even a small piece of this Fresco project could "profit" people in more than one way, say, if it was channeled through urban farming; feed someone!

@itsadeadmansparty i agree the current system doesnt work. i DONT advocate a capitalist system! i advocate what u do all im saying is that u cannot run an RBE without money. all production must be priced in labor time. and the total price of everything u produce must be allocated to everyone as income this way u can pay people to work, demand will not exceed supply, and u produce only what people want to buy based on current production u could pay everyone $135k per year

Does humour solve problems? It is a secondary thing. Just like art. Does not mean there will not be art centers. It’s a matter of radical honesty in regards to what matters most (in reality, not opinion) and order of priority. Besides, if you looked at other lectures, you could actually stumble upon a few funny quotes (such as one in mechanistic point of view)

To say that someone is willing to work for a political cause or do art for free is proof we don't need to pay people to work is simply not true. Doing art is not the same as fixing roofs, plumbing, working in a factory, etc. And the idea the claim that the world functions off the back of 100 people is not true either. TVP is based on premises that are obviously not true. Where is the critical thinking from TVP members? Jacque oversimplifies subjects.

In your mind, Thats why all your opinions reflect god's, and why your interpretation of ancient literature are always right, Its how god knows every thing you are doing and thinking, To see the face of god you the believer have no more need than to simply look into a mirror. Infact the very voice you're hearing right now that is instructing you to deny what you just read is not god - it is you. your subconscious mind is trying to do what it was made to do, protect you from your natural fear of death.
