I have a 2016 XJRSport, 3.0 supercharged and I absolutely love it! It has been a dependable vehicle and is still like brand new! Great car and affordable!

Have had a XJ 351 Prem 3.0d for the past 3 years. Likes - Joy to drive- far better than my old Audi, interior is great, its a drivers car, quick clear windscreen is very easy to defrost, touch buttons for lights in the car Dislikes- Seats are firm but luxurious- (if you have to do long journeys I would get something else). parts are expensive, thin paint- (easy to scratch), easy to cub alloys, key fob is not well made rubber keeps coming apart.

if i could buy a new xj and i wish i could it would be in this colour and trim with a 550 hp 5 litre , i would lose the wooden steering wheel and get orano rims it would be the perfect dream car for me

Until recently, I owned an XJ 350 (2006). It was a beautiful car, and being English and living in the countryside, I loved the comfy, the woo an leather finish. It was like a gentleman’s club on wheels! but with 157,000 miles on the clock, I felt I needed a change - so I succumbed to modernity and bought a very low mileage 2013 XJ Portfolio. It has less than 45k on the clock, feels and looks new! Although there is very little woodwork to this model the leather and suede finish I exquisite. With twin sunroof, and all the other extras that come with the Portfolio, I am now a born again Jag enthusiast- I am lucky that mine has the Bowers & Wilkins 1200watt sound system. It has the same ivory interior as my previous XJ, but even more comfort and power, touch the accelerator lightly and the the Speedometer is at mishaps - 90mph!.

I plan on getting the XJL but since these cars don’t hold their value I will get a 4-5 years old car.

I bought a brand new xj l v8, top of the line in 2011. The car looks great and is a pleasure to drive. Sadly the car is very badly built in, specially for the hot weather in Dubai. The headliners got loose and had to be refixed. The transmission had to be rebuilt as the car was just out of warranty. A lemon. Had a S500 Mercedes which was a much better car

Conclusion: 1.Buy 2.Consider 3.Skip the Jaguar XJ? 1.(big) Buy I second that. It's a wonderful car. I own an XF that is also a great sedan.

5000lbs is not right. I had a 2011 XJ V8 Supercharged (this style) but the short wheelbase version, and it was just a little over 4000lbs. It was known for being about the lightest in its class, which is why it is so fast. There’s no way that the LWB version is over 5000lb. In fact I looked it up, and it’s 4156lbs.

Nigel, you are correct! Upon further research, the 5,401 lbs number I was using is the 'Gross vehicle weight'. The 'weight' of the vehicle is 4156lbs. Would love to hear about your experience of owing the XJ - please share! And please give the video a LIKE and SUBSCRIBE to the channel - Mahesh
