Im never hiring a young nanny. Id get one who is older, like my mother's age. That is not being insecure, it's being practical. There are nannies sho actually prey on financially stable husbands.

If he's sleeping with his secretary, problems in the marriage aren't the reason why - he is doing it because he is choosing his urges/wants over more noble/mature options such as communicating and working on the relationship...or ending the marriage. A relationship will always have ups and downs - cheating is not the appropriate response.

Cheating is a byproduct, an outcome, a result, a consequence. The "problems in the marriage" can simply have been that the person who cheated always showed red flags such as lack of interest, no motivation, no effort etc yet the partner chose to ignore and put up with that.

Nanny thing: Why would you be worried about your husband if you are satisfying your husbands every need. There's two side to stepping out: Opportunity (hiring a hot nanny) and REASON (he's not content with the quantity and/or quality of the sex he is already getting). If you hire an "ugly" nanny, you haven't solved the REASON, only the OPPORTUNITY.

I have actually heard many older people say this. Of course he doesn't mean this in the exact way since you can literally influence the odds of 'winning' but on some level marriage is still a game of chance.
