Avi You really don't know that for sure. It's a part of Japanese culture to treat your food with respect and thankfulness. An animal killed for the sake of consumption is sacred in Japanese cuisine.

If there was care, they would use a proper fillet knife to get the most meat out of the fish. Yeah it's great and all the guy is going slow as all get out with no glove but this is a step below professional in my opinion. Definitely not a novice or amateur but at the same time it could be better

Hello everyone. The care and attention to detail this sushi master shows is unbelievable to me. Just for curiosity sake, can any one estimate what a meal like this would cost? I know it would be an expensive experience, but it would be one worth saving for. In addition to all of the fun a trip to Japan would be.

I really, really wish I could somehow like sushi. "If you don't like it, you just aren't having GOOD sushi." Well I went to a place and ordered some really expensive sushi and it was much the same experience. All the time, art, and work. They are soooo cute I wish I could eat them too! At least I can understand what it is like to enjoy it from the last clip. :)

Hoalah cak cak. Dadi wong jepang kok ribet men nek arep maem. Iwak sing keri dewe iku dadi IWAK PINDANG nek ning Indonesia. Nek arep mangan yo sing penak wae, gak usah diirisi sampek tipis2, lha gunane untu iku nek gak dinggo ngunyah dinggo opo hahaha. Eng: Why japan's people make difficult himself for eating something? They slice fish until make a thin sliced. They have tooth, are they not use their tooth for chewing food? The last fish is common fish in Indonesia. They often be maked for salted fish (not dry salted fish), so that fishes arent broken quickly. But i love this tradition :)
