For this Japanese food yakiniku beef video, I was on the Best of Tokyo Food Tour with David from The Hungry Tourist. His tours are one of a kind and focus on deep high end food!

Nakahara (炭火焼肉 なかはら)
This Japanese food wagyu beef yakiniku meal was one of the best meals I had during The Hungry Tourist best of Tokyo food tour. Having the chance to sit chef’s counter while the chef himself cuts and grills each piece of meat in front of you, was extraordinary.
Nakahara is regarded as one of the top yakiniku, Japanese bbq, restaurants in Tokyo. The owner / chef takes has dedicated his life to perfecting yakiniku (and his flawless deep fried wagyu cutlet sandwich as well).
When you eat at Nakahara, you can go through a series of courses that cover the cow, from the tongue to the intestines to the sirloin and skirt steak. The tongue was amazing, the intestines were a little on the chewy side, and the wagyu beef was insane.
Eating Japanese food yakiniku and premium wagyu beef at Nakahara Restaurant in Tokyo was one of the most memorable meals I’ve had.
Thank you again to The Hungry Tourist for inviting me on The Best of Tokyo Food Tour.
(I didn’t personally pay for the food in this video).

I have watched alot of people's food vlogs, but I have to say that you and Mike Chen are the best ones to watch! I guess it is the way you both describe all the food you eat. Keep up the good work. Great video !

Thank you, Mark, for diversifying and including this series of high-end Japanese restaurants. I've really enjoyed all your food videos, most notably because you do such a variety. I'm not understanding this reverse snobbery I'm seeing in many of the comments. The resentment seems really high, and I've noticed this trend of reverse snobbery being the new snobbery, as if food can't be good unless it is street food, or reviews can't be honest if it's at expensive places. We should all appreciate food for what it is, and we should all appreciate you showing what is available out there. There is good inexpensive food, but sometimes it is awesome to see what is available at high end places. Those are the places I would go to every once in a while, as a treat.

I adore all of the different types of content Mark provides. I would get disinterested if it were "just" street and home cooked vendors. His persona makes it for me and considering this is his career and he is quite young I imagine his testing to embrace other areas as he grows with his family but I sure would LOVE to see his wife cook a meal!
@truthispresent1002

Kaladia K ... It's his vlog not his wife. I am not sure why subcribers always want people to change there channel to please them. How about you starting your own vlog.
@KaladiaKV
@KaladiaKV 6 жыл бұрын
I can see where you would think that . I enjoy him showcasing so many different types of culinary delights and I don't think that showing his wife's wonderful cooking would change that. I do know that he often takes recommendations from subscribers as inspiration to add fan driven content. Besides knowing a day at home without going out is something he can do and that some fans would enjoy may also be a good relief if the little one needs a day at home chilling with his folks. I love his vlog and have no desire AT ALL to see it go in any direction but what he chooses. Can't hurt to say I'd like to see it though.

점돌이 Sorry, but no one stole such a thing as Korean BBQ. First of all, bulgogi is not even same as yakiniku. Bulgogi is way more closer to sukiyaki just by their looking or cooking method. Furthermore, sukiyaki and bulgogi is totally different food. So how can bulgogi be same as yakiniku? Do some cooking before you spread a nonsense. This food in the video is named yakiniku and bulgogi is not even close to it.

In Japan's rule, we liberationed at japan but japan don't say to come back to korea. So koreans eat meat, and japan saw that and they sad it's japan's food we need just apology to korea because Japan distored korea's culture,relic,and victims but japan least one not apologys and they distortion history so japan people doesn't know this incident

He has already done it a few times in Japan. But you guys have to remember that things are different for Mark now. He has a baby, and when you travel with a baby you're on their time.........not your's. Babies get tired, they get cranky, they get hungry, need to be changed......ect. He has to think about Micah first before he makes videos. Going to restaurants might be easier than running around outside in the heat with a baby for long periods of time. Be grateful that Mark has already done a few street food videos in Japan. Go back and watch them again.

Samuel _lovehockey88 Yes, of cos I do know that. The problem is.. the so-called wagyu beef here is definitely not the graded wagyu beef from Japan. The wagyu beef we have here are expensive and inferior. They don't "melt" in your mouth, not exactly very tender, chewy, just a slight more tender and oilier than the regular beef but definitely not the Japanese grade. I definitely want to try what Mark had! Oh man.. Watching this clip is killing me! LOL 😋

You probably order a set that has it in it, and you probably can't order more. You might be able to order things ala carte but at a place this fancy and so well established, it's probably the Chef's Choice or a few sets the Chef chooses to sell that day. A lot of higher end places in Japan are like this, because it allows to the Chef to show off his skills and serve only the best and freshest food he has and is available seasonally.

The tasty of the food is directly proportioned to the opening of the eyes, the tilt of the face and the slowness of the "oh, wow".

It’s neither small nor expensive. In Japan it costs the same as US beef does in the US. You should go to Japan and try for yourself. I’ve tried both Japanese beef and US beef, and both are great in their own way.

Mike Jones who's trolling? Accept the fact you're never going to eat any of the things Mark is eating. You live a small life of desperation.

peg wolfe if you like purely street food then watch Food Ranger and Best Ever Food Review Show. Japan isn’t known for street food. It’s not as flavorful compared to other countries like Thailand and Indonesia.
