We are horrified! There are protests happening everywhere, they're so widespread that now our government is trying to shut down the right to protest for Palestine. Aaron Bushnell is a great example of how we feel, though most of us are not going to that extreme , but instead channeling that anger into calling out our politicians directly, sharing posts, petitions, boycotts, sharing information with those that don't know the truth, etc.. Of course, many Americans are still brainwashed because they are the kind that do not think for themselves and are too cowardly to take a position that is dangerous to their goals (career, reputation, social circle, etc.). That being said, even those that are not staunch proponents like me tend to think the killing isn't okay. Few support Israel's actions. It's our government. They are compromised a thousand different ways and don't care what we say. They often have us arrested just for getting close enough to them to speak on Gaza. It's sick. I am so disgusted by my government and I pray on a daily basis that it is dismantled. Even if we Americans have to suffer, we have allowed suffering all over the world. To me, the most important thing right now is to order ceasefire in all hot zones we are involved in, rescind foreign aid offers (we desperately need the money at home), close our nearly 1,000 military bases around the globe, bring our troops home and start focusing on domestic issues. The only aid we should be sending is critical aid like food and medicine into refugee areas and destroyed countries that WE created.
