@@bcjoey9944 I’m Chinese living in China, Guangzhou. My community has been locked down, it’s true that we had to stay indoor, for most of the time, but we went down to do the covid test, bring garbage down to collection point, bring our takeaway food or online purchased supplies and do online shopping. Everything was brought to each building’s ground floor by many volunteers. We were locked down only one week. And for my community, this only happened ONE TIME besides the first outbreak in early 2020. The 2 month lockdown in Shanghai is very rare in China, and I blame it to the incompetence of Shanghai local government. They did a very very bad management. As Chinese citizen, I’m very supportive to our Zero covid policy. Personally, I do not want to get caught by the virus, NOT EVEN ONCE! Coz if I got caught, even if I might not die, I would never know wether I will be the one who gets long covid. Uncertainty is scary. So don’t listen to the guy or women who replied to your comment. He/she knows nothing about what a normal lockdown is really like in China. Btw, if we can not go to work because of a lockdown, we still get payed 100%.
