Very informative, thanks for the tips! The recruiter I contacted said that the GPA requirement to join as a graduate nurse (no experience) is 3.5, if not then at least 6 months of experience! Like you said, it's always good to do better than the minimum requirement and stand out!❤️

Thank you so much for this wonderful video! I am trying to prepare now for my application in the future. I really appreciate your videos, and they are so helpful! I would love love love if you could make a video or Q&A with the following questions: How is working in a military hospital different than working in a civilian hospital in your opinion? What are your living conditions on base and how do you like it? What are deployments like and how are you prepared for them? Overall, what is life on base like? Thank you so much for all of your tips and advice! Your videos continue making my decision to commission after nursing school more and more of a very clear yes!

I am a 68W(combat medic) in the Army. I have an BSN but the Army has not allow me to practice as a RN and they don't allow me to commission. I am looking to transition to the Air Force. I will like to know how difficult is the transition between college and practice I just wanted to provide good patient care

This is so helpful!! 🙌🏾 Thank you so much! The resume tips are SUPER helpful !! The whole vblog! Also I'm still working on the first stage! I definitely need to carefully evaluate my decision for wanting to join. Were you nervous at any time during your process? (after being accepted ?). Sometimes I'm nervous about the unknown, such as what if I fail 😪

Jay Quinn that’s good!! So happy everything is going good 🙂!! I feel, I guess normal now (I thought my nervousness was odd if I was looking into the military lol, if that makes sense)!! I look forward to more of you vids!

You mentioned sacrifices, what are the sacrifices that an applicant must consider before apply?
@AlexZ-lc6nl Жыл бұрын
Hi, honest question. With a rise of competitiveness to all scholarships and applications, why does the Air Force not want you to apply to other scholarships other than their own in other words why does the Air Force not like you to have multiple HPSP applications? It seems like you may be cutting your options short.

Hi! I want to be an RN in the Airforce, and I was wondering how easy it is to get in? Like do they reject most of their applicants and are very strict??? I thought that they weren't gonna be strict, but now I'm unsure. Thanks!

Hi! Thank you for the tips! Just want to ask you a question about going to COT. I plan to get there the day before I report. Did they provide transportation? Also, can I go on the base and stay at the University Inn the night before I report without the military ID (just civilian ID and orders) Thank you!

I didn't have to take the AFOQT because I had a bachelor's degree. I heard there are some good books and online resources out there for studying though!

I am interested in being a social service aid or enlist as a mental health technician. I have my masters in social work and my bachelors in spanish. I want to take the exam to become a licensed social worker. So you recommend obtaining a license before or after being accepted into the air force?
@jamessvihra53572 жыл бұрын
Air Force and others are very hung up on Officer status. If you have a masters degree, don't waste your time as an enlisted person and forget about working your way up. I would get a license.

I am told I have to go through another nursing program if I join by others who have been in the military. They also that I won't be able to be performing as a nurse despite having a BSN when I graduate. What do you suggest? Is the pay and benefits worth it?

Hi Jay when you submit your resume, do you include the letters of recommendation with it or this will be given later on when they ask for it. Im trying to work on my application and is it true that you only need 6 months of icu experience to be able to go into their specialties? Thank you for your time.
@JayQuinn926 жыл бұрын
There usually is a place to submit your letters of recommendation. Yes the 6 mnths is true!
