That’s great. Is there a benefit to the hardware cloth instead of a solid wood back? I have made one, painted it black with a solid back, but no catch, even though I set on sign with a good fishy bait. Any advice would be great!

The open back allows the smell to travel thru the box easier. You could drill some holes thru the back, that might help.

Do you have good success with the monk boxes? We’ve tried them in northern mn. Didn’t work all that great. We were trying to extend our mink trapping because our streams freeze right away.
