PLEASE continue with your amazingly informative videos. I am 58, fanatical singles tennis player, have at least grade 3 osteoarthritis on the medial femoral condyle. 4 orthopedic surgeons have seen the images from my arthroscopic surgery, 3 have said they see a tiny bit of grade 4, extensive grade 3... I could barely walk a 6 months ago much less play tennis, I had hyaluronic acid injection as well as started liposomal hyaluronic acid supplements (500mg 2x/day) 4 months ago and had 3ml PRP injection 6 weeks ago (max amount allowed with the Xerthra kit). I am now playing 2 hours of singles tennis 6 days a week and am basically PAIN FREE. Only mild stiffness after sitting for a few hours. In hindsight I can say my very first symptoms were tightness in my VMO. One P T guy told me about the phenomenon where muscles tense while trying to protect an injury causes soreness (forget the name), anyway suspect that and these trigger points are related. I have ZERO doubt working with the trigger points will be helpful. I also swear by PRP, and liposomal hyaluronic acid supplements. Two of my friends have started taking those alone and say they notice a difference. Anyway by following your advice, you are allowing me to continue my life passion, which in turn is helping my mental/emotional health. 👍🎾🎾🎾

Wow! You are a great example of how combining PRP injections with exercise therapy can allow people to continue to do what they LOVE in life. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

Nice video on treating knee arthritis prior to exercising. Was just diagnosed with knee arthritis and I like to exercise. Never thought of heating knee prior to exercising to relieve knee arthritis pain. Very informative

Fabulous video thank you and very timely! I underwent a TKR on the left 12 weeks ago, though a very challenging procedure to work through I am now pain free from the original arthritis for which I am very grateful for and I’m continuing to work on getting that “normal” knee feeling totally back. Unfortunately my right knee which has a slightly lesser degree of arthritis is now very painful in the inner aspect on any movement, my operated leg is now my “good” leg! I will try all your suggestions as I’m keen to avoid another replacement if I can, pretty tough surgery😳, I’m 60 years young so alternative options are welcome. 🥰🏴🇬🇧

I like you!!! I used to do Burpuees and hiit several years ago. Perhaps i did them wrong. Or its my 60lbs weight gain. Now i can't even kneel without my knees cracking and with mild pain on the medial area. Im 36 yrs old. I don't want surgery. So im doing everything in my power to make it better. Thats how i ended up here. So. Thank you!!

I think he's right. I have osteoarthritis in the leg I tore my achilles. The calf muscle is significantly smaller than the left leg. Also tore the miniscus in the same leg. Other leg has absolutely no issues

Hi Dr. Jeffrey, thank you for doing these videos. I have recently had my 3rd PRP injection for torn common flexor tendon in my Left elbow. It's helping but I have a question for you. Do you have suggestions for neuropathy that travels the whole arm? Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello Jeff, When I stand for a while - for about 10 mins, there is growing weakness and pain in my knee and rectus femoris tendon. I visited 4 doctors, and none of them are able to cure the issue I've been lifting for years - the mistake I did was not stretching enough. Now, I've been deep stretching, doing low impact exercise, foam rolling etc. Still the issue persists. How can I permanently cure this issue?

When one has bone or ligament or tendon injuries, these will likely case trigger point like pain. It is due to the nerves circuit signaling of that area. The trigger point injection will numb some nerve circuits of that area that are also linked to the nerves that connect to the nerve emdings at the hurting joint. So they just numb nerve groups responsible for the area served by the injured tendons or ligaments or bone...it is sort of pain killer but more focused on the injured area

I know someone who just had this and the pain is gone. Do you know why you had this issue after knee replacement? What are docs saying to do now? I am trying too avoid knee replacement. :0

Thank you for your excellent series of videos on knee osteoarthritis and treatments. I've just started watching them and am learning so much. I have osteoarthritis in my left knee that presented itself in earnest about 8 years ago. My dad had severe osteoarthritis arthritis in both knees to where it was bone on bone. Due his advanced age, he declined knee replacement and eventually became wheelchair bound. I am looking to see what options I can implement now to avoid my dad's fate. Your videos are exactly what I need.

Doctor, any difference between prp and exosome injection , we need video on that Thanks
@JeffreyPengMD Жыл бұрын
Exosomes need more studies including randomized controlled trials. Until then, PRP (in my opinion) is the gold standard for orthobiologics therapy.

Would APS knee injection benefit more than PRP?

APS needs more studies. IMO, PRP is the current gold standard for orthobiologic therapies.
