I am 14 years old and I had discovered your channel around 2months ago but was too lazy to try it out. I have been doing this and some of your other videos for around 2weeks now 4 TIMES a week. I find this much easier and I have also changed my eating habits around and to be honest, I feel amazing! Keep up the good work, I am forever grateful right now :D

@preethagopal Thanks so much for your comments! I am working on putting together a workout with dumbbells, so thank you for the suggestions.

@italysuger Thank you! That is a great question. As an example, if you do 100 regular crunches, you can burn 3-5 calories per minute. Say 100 crunches takes you 2 minutes to complete, you will have burned 10 calories at the most. So not a whole lot, but you will be strengthening your core, and tightening those abs. If you're wanting to burn bigger amounts of calories add cardio for 30-60 minutes 3 times per week, and strength training at least twice a week.

Great question Liz! You can use empty gallon or half gallon milk jugs, or even bottles of powerade filled with sand or water, soup cans or even larger canned goods work great, and if you have a scale, you could weigh the items to know approximately how much they weigh. Hope that helps! :)

@lisar915 -thanks for subscribing! Yes, to modify your v-sit, either keep your feet closer to the ground, or start with knees bent, and keep toes on the ground, until you build up enough strength in your core. It takes a lot of concentration, but if you can imagine keeping the belly button sucked into the spine at all times, eventually your stomach won't pop up.

@lisar915 - As far as when you do crunches with legs in the air, really try to focus on the muscles in your stomach each time you lift, as if you're lifting your entire upper body towards the ceiling... still sucking the bellybutton to the spine each time you lift up. If you're still feeling it in your legs, you can bend the knees and let the heels hang above the ground. Keep at it, and you will increase your strength with practice. You could also start with my other KILLER ABS first. =)

Hi there, Great channel you have here. I just subscribed. I just did this workout for the first time last night. Are there any modifications you can recommend for the v-sits? My stomach always seems to pop up, and I can't keep my legs still. I just completely lose my balance. Also, when I tried doing the crunches with my legs in the air, I felt everything just in my upper legs. Would you know why that is? Thanks and keep up the good work.

Jenny, any chance you might do a standing abs routine? This is awfully tough, requires a lot of balance and core strength. I cannot hold on to any balancing position (v-sits) for a long time, my quads start hurting and I almost stop breathing.
@JennyFordFitness10 жыл бұрын
Mita M great feedback! Will start putting one together. I really love that idea. I also filmed a core strength one recently with planks on elbows, side planks, and a few other variations with the 'core off the floor' so to speak. It's also in editing. Soon it'll be done....
