This really isn't suprising since her debut was a tragic mess. I mentioned this before, but she hasn't been active in the music scene since her release of her song Boyz, and for a newer artist like her, this is one of the worst things she can do because people are gonna eventually forget about her. She did have the advantage of leaving the group, but she didn't use it very well. Overall, I honestly think she is not ready for a solo music career at this time.

In the last few years she has changed so much, and through following her on her journey I know she has also been through a lot, but The way she has been acting the last year and calling it “her authentic self“ just seems like the biggest lie to me. if this is her authentic self then I want nothing to do with it as a fan. I was rooting for her so much in the beginning of course because we all just wanted her to do what was best for her mentally. But to turn around and do a complete 180 in your personality and mock the group and experience that got you to where you are today, just really turned me off from supporting her any further. The label wasn't the right one for her, in the sense that they gave her the freedom to do whatever she wanted, and she wasn't ready for that. _If she wanted to be like a big pop star,_ she needed so much direction and structure to bloom into something new (but she was tired of control in LM too); _if she wanted total freedom_ to find herself and express herself, then she shouldn't have gone to a big label, because in most cases, that's not the place to do that (maybe, what she needs and wants are not on the same page?). So it's bad that she lost such a big opportunity, but it's good because maybe now she can focus on herself more. IMO, she doesn't even know who she is as an artist (something very common for people who were in GGs/BBs like her). She's a great dancer and singer, yes, but it's been a while since she's always messy with her words, actions, and decisions. Contradictory on the worst occasions and it's unfortunate because that just damages her image more and more. The life of a pop star ain't always easy, but I feel like she doesn't want to pay even the slightest for it(which is valid, but then again, it has its own consequences that she doesn't seem ready or willing to pay as well). I think she really has to take some time for her: to rest, think, mature, and heal. If she continues with this path, maybe she´ll damage her career forever. She already hurt a significant part of her fandom because of what happened with Nikki, and yeah, maybe she'll be forgotten if she doesn't get enough exposure, but what could be worst than continuing this train of decisions of hers? She's rich, she can heal slowly and take her time; melancholy from fans could help her more than the loss/ rejection/ sadness/ tedium/ disappointment that many fans or pg feel towards her. Her quick debut after talking about her struggles with her mental health (which was why she left the group) was something that left many of us thinking too.

The whole debut was a mess from the start, not only did she sample bad boys for life by Diddy but the video was a straight up copy cat and the lyrics were that childish it was painful to listen to plus it exposed her for not being that great vocally compared to the other girls. Then there's the video of her laughing when Nicki Minaj was shading Leeanne which lost her fans then the jingle ball performance which was woeful and her cocky attitude didn't help. I hate to say it serves her right but it really does and I hope she has time to reflect on her behaviour and hopefully do something that is her rather than this.

I sincerely hope they can resolve and grow past their differences, and then reunite to be better than they have ever been. I agree. One mediocre song and then 10 months of silence won't work. She should have released another single in early 2022. Maybe a different direction but releasing nothing was a stupid move. But she was in the studio so it makes me think that Boyz was the best of the songs she recorded, which is tragic. I also think she didn't find her style. Honestly speaking she was never a songwriter and wrote the least out of the 4 girls. But she had producers like will I am so I do wonder why they weren't capable of giving her a decent debut single instead of this PDiddy Sample. Also Nicki Minaj kinda damaged Jesy more than helping her lol If Little Mix returns, I doubt they want to work with her again (I don't know if they will return because Bands always promise it (One direction etc.) And then don't comeback). I don't see Jesy with a big label anytime soon because I doubt anyone wants to work with her. Leighanne is the most well rounded but is low energy and timid, and Jesy is honestly a little cringe. I don't think they appreciated how much they benefited from being in a group because there's no Beyonce in this group, they all have strengths & weaknesses that artistically cover each other.

I agree Leigh Anne is the one who is well rounded as a vocalist but low on energy is definitely not true. She has great energy and stage presence. Now yes she USE to be timid do to the hate from the fandom because she was the only black girl singing for a white dominated fandom who use her as a shield to protect the other girls. I see her having the most successful especially in America because she has the American music taste and versitlity. Perrie isn't boring, she's proven she can perform and dance over the decade but as a solo artist I would prefer jade and Leigh Anne because they are more than just as new style of singing etc and have amazing writing skills. Jades vocals are amazing don't be shady, she just has a different stylistic way of singing and it's great. Sorry for the long response but my girls deserve a fair chance before y'all try to act like they'll flop

@@AlwaysLM2011 I love LM, I wasn't being shady I was being critical. A break out solo star has to have everything from a unique & powerful stage appeal, artistic expression and vocal / physical ability. I think it's a given that they can all sing well, but it's 100% to admit that these girls are stronger as a group than they would be as solo stars. These girls are in their 30's in a world where there's virtually 0 breakout pop stars in that age range. It's not shade it's just being realistic. Leigh Anne- Is a careful and timid person, it's not a bad thing, but it's 100% okay to admit that it could hold her back when most artists these days have to have more than stage presence. They have tiktoks and twitch streams, youtube AMA's etc. Perrie - Is boring. She's obviously the vocal powerhouse of the group, but this isn't the 90's. I don't think people will gravitate to her mature sound and personality, and frankly she's already admitted that she has no interest in going solo. Perrie benefits from the youthfulness and expressivity everyone else brought imo Jade - I didn't say Jade was a bad vocalist, I said "meh". They can all sing. If anything I feel like Jade has the most Solo appeal because of her stylistic choices and extroverted / sweet personality, but she clearly benefits from everyone's vocals, and singing is their gift. Jesy - This one doesn't even need an explanation because she utterly bombed solo, even with a huge push from Nicki & Diddy. She's Adele's age but singing like Camilla Cabello. It was cringe. I wish the ladies well but they all are stronger together. Jade's the only one I can see charting with any material.. MAYBE Perrie if she took a Pink/Kelly Clarkson route.

@@Sloppyjoey1 you can't make a judgement like this as they haven't even released any music solo yet lol. You don't have to be unique to be a solo star as there are so many basic singers out here who are massive, so I don't know why you said that. Leigh Anne being timid isn't an issue anymore so you can't use that excuse either. Perrie voice definitely isn't boring. She basically has the Adle type of sound and we see how big she is so perrie is gonna be successful no matter what because she's the favorite of the group. Jade voice is amazing and like I said Leigh Anne has the best all round voice of the group and she can get away with almost anything. She's powerful yet can be sweet. The record label was probably looking for a more “pop” sound for her. There’s no problem for her wanting to do RnB but it’s the way she came about it to change her whole appearance to look/act “blk/gangsta” and the song was tragic because your 1st solo song shouldn’t be a remake of someone else’s song no matter if their song was a hit or not. Then we found out that Little Mix warned her about black fishing before she quit to which she brushed off. Then there was the whole sticking her tongue out which sweetie no one like it when Miley did it. Like it didn't seem that serious I thought she cultural appropriated or shit like that but people took it a little bit out of what it seemed.

Honestly I love her so much but I saw it coming after her not-so-good solo start ...

you can always start from scratch, even if her debut was bad, everyone knows her, she is pretty and sexy, she has a good voice, so I don’t think that her career is over. 😉

Some video extracts of her dancing and singing live in that red outfit and the long silver wig reaaally reminded me of CL's style... hard to reach the level of an already established queen :'D

Little Mix is a trio, they don't want her back, they made a statement on Instagram. Any future little mix projects will be as a trio...They firmly slammed that door shut.....Jesy bit the hand that fed her.

The similarities to 5H are surprising to me. Camilla being the first out and also having kind of a failed debut with crying in the club (which is a banger imo), plus the group doing good without her just like little mix without Jesy

I feel like people were mad at her as well is because she said the reason she was leaving Little Mix was due to bullying of the media and mental health. And by her tone and words she made it sound like she was done with the music industry as a whole. But then when she said she is coming out with a solo career everyone was confused because if your leaving a group because the media and fans are bullying you, why would you go solo and put more attention on yourself to get bullied more? I just feel like Jessie left Little Mix to go solo but didn’t want to tell the fans or media that and lied and got caught in it.

I don't think that LM would ever take her back into the group should she want to return. Jesy burned quite a few bridges on her way out & went about her exit the wrong way, at the wrong time, for the wrong reasons. I don't believe the "mental health" stuff... She was in the studio within days following the public announcement of her departure. It wasn't mental health or the pressures of celebrity. And it wasn't the "type of music" excuse either, her one & only single is right in line with the type of music LM was doing more & more of.

Jesy is rubbing me the wrong way, i remember watching interviews of her and the little mix girls and when the interviewers would asked if they liked the music they release Jesy would always have a word to say (confirming that they do write and liked the stuff they made). So i feel it's a bit contradicting...plus I feel like little mix really experimented with their sound. They did dabbled on the R&B/pop wave with their second studio album "salute"
