Kegen Rodrigues Bull Crap!! I am 48 yrs old and life flies by so fast and it goes by quick every year that passes. I do agree that you should think young and still get out there and work on that bucket list and try new things. You also know that it isn't all about mind over matter. Think young, feel young doesn't work if your body is falling apart. But I do appreciate what you are saying. It's nice.

I think it depends on the person. I'm 30, now. I can feel my body starting to lose regenerative qualities, but most people say, 'I'm getting weaker' and I say, 'I'll fight you and the rest of the world if I have to'. Fuck getting old. I'll be a crotchety old man, but I will not have my joints dictating what I 'can' and 'can't' do. I've seen 60+ year old bodybuilders and 70 year-old sprinters. I know what we're capable of.

For ancient people the longest you could live was around 30 to 40 years due to their non-hygienic customs, today the middle of life is around 35 years old. We turned 30-40 as a limit to be the half of what we live.

I'm living that 'boring' life, focused on education, moved on to a good stable career, and go on holiday once a year. I have to say though I love my job, I was lucky to study a subject in college that I love. I'm in my early twenties and I have no inclination to want to pack up and travel the world. There are a lot of places I want to see but I can see them and work too. 'Playing it safe' has a bad rep these days for 20 year olds. It's considered that you're not making the most of you life if you don't travel and go out and have fun. Different lifestyles just suit different personalities.

They say to do that when you're younger cause that's the best time to do it. You have less responsibilities and can make more mistakes without too much repercussion. But all in all, we gotta live to make ourselves happy and we do that in our own ways.

If you say that making a lot of money doesn't change your life it's because you've never been broke enough. I was born in Brazil and I still live here, I'm 29 and I can say that I basically didn't enjoy my early twenties because I knew that if I didn't do things that most people wouldn't do I wouldn't get where I wanted to be in life. When I didn't have my own money I couldn't choose what to eat, what to wear and what to do in my free time. Life without money really sucks. I spent lots of weekends at home studying while many people my age were probably partying. But I was right I got to my late twenties being able to go to the restaurants I wanted to go, buying the clothes that I wanted and traveling. So I understand that we need to have balance in life, work hard and find time to enjoy life but depending on where you start in life it's not like that. It's a war and you have to push yourself to do more than other people are doing at your age, you can't be average you have to be great. You have to learn who you are and where you wanna go fast and take action fast. Not only should you take action but you should be consistent because most of our goals will take a little longer than we imagine. So this is it. Money is not going to change your life if you don't need it to survive but if you know that the things that you need in life come from money go for it.

@@freilezjawa8328 Coming from a westerner who is also young, shut your mouth. There are a lot of broke kids out here in the south living the lifestyle this strong women described. Just because we live in a first world country doesn't mean a lot of us hasn't had to live through poverty. When I was a kid, our food budget was $25 a WEEK.This was for three people and a fourth on the way. Most of small town America has to live through what this woman did. It isn't all idealism and patriotic richness as a lot of people like to think. It's hardship, and crying at 3AM trying to figure out where your food is going to come from. It's stressing out about everything, and somehow mustering up the resolve to work even harder than you already do even though you're bone tired and done. It's a lot of things, but not a privilege.

As someone who is 21, I appreciate this video. Graduated this past May. I've lived in my parents house since I was born. Conservative/strict household who stresses saving. Just because I work a lot and have more money than my peers doesn't mean I'm happy. That's why I'm going to be moving out and creating new experiences with new people. You should have savings, but probably about 10%-20% of your income, no more. That shouldn't keep you from going out there.
@manictiger
@manictiger 7 жыл бұрын
+Zsombor Nagy Depends on your income. Since near the start of my stock trading, I have always aimed for having my expenditures be 1% of my income. This is, of course, nigh-impossible without reaching around 700,000 net worth, which allots you 7,000 a year for rent, internet, bicycle repairs, etc.-- only the necessities, not even a cellphone. Food came from food banks, back then. The rest needed to be a dollar per 800 calories. This is why I'm rich. Most of the things you overpay for, you don't need to be happy. The fortune I've amassed from aggressive trading and aggressive saving trickled into my luxury bomb shelter for a family of four and an insulated, heated horse stable with quadruple-sized stalls. This is called delayed gratification. Instead of just running on base instinct, buying whenever my cerebellum wanted to, I used my cerebrum and considered whether it mattered. So every time I said no, allowed that money to be used for things that do matter. Save to multiply, don't save to spend.

I think the world would be better off. Useless, short-lifespan products would nearly disappear and the money would funnel into things that last and matter. In the short term, it might hit the economy, but in the long term, we'd be building a GDP on top of all the things that still haven't broken. I call the current economy a 'garbage economy', because so much of what we produce winds up as land-fill, or worse, ocean-fill.

WOW i am 18 and i want to be independent when Im older. i always told myself i would never be happy working for someone and getting a stable paycheck. my dad is the chief of medicine at a hospital and he could give me everything i want but since i was 13 I've been selling shoes and making my own money buying my own things but my dad (being the hard worker he is) always hated that i didn't get an actual job with shifts i had to be on time for and a boss that would set me straight he made me stop selling stuff and making my own money and now i work two jobs making half the money i used to and its not about the money because i would be happy making a third of what i make with these jobs if i was making it on my own. i wish my dad had encouraged me with some of these things instead of yelling at me to "get a real job" this is honestly one of the best videos i have ever seen and i hope the whole world can see it and follow their dreams. thank you so much for making this video and please make many more like it!! you deserve millions of subs

I would say you should play it safe because those who can afford to take risks are usually the ones that do not have to worry too much about their finances because they have a safety net from their parents/family. You can take risks, but that doesn't mean quit your good paying job. That is why you have hobbies, other interests, and supportive people that make your life content.

Im 27. Relationship Point is so true. I too have felt that. When I am NOT into any relationship, I'm more productive and it feels that I have more time to do things. When In a relationship, Time flies. I sometimes feel relationships just suck your time like hell. And in the end you just kept blaming yourself that why didn't you acted when there was time. I too feel that meeting new people and travelling really opens up your mind and gives you a sense of bird eye view of things happening around. We are just so contained in our own comfort zone when nobody is stopping us from getting out of it.

I've lived in 3 different states and have traveled a lot. So I get what your saying about experiencing different cultures and parts of the world. I also love how you tap into the subject of the approval of others. Your spot on with everything you've just preached. Thank you man, you were the answer I was looking for. I asked God for a sign that this next move in life is the right decision, and I feel that stumbling upon this video, was the sign that says yes, take this risk and just fuckin go for it. I can't tell you enough how much this means to me right here right now and what I'm going through. Damn... the video just made a huge impact on my life. I still have some thinking and planning to do but, this video influenced me to take the risks that lye ahead and I'm feeling really good about it now. Keep doing what you do man, mad respect ✊🏼🙏🏼✌🏼

the perception of our ownselves change everything. Am one year away of graduation. I always think of trying business but i fail at starting and sustaining that one become harder. I really like writting but i can not get tapped into it. I would really like to spend my twenties exploring but enjoying your twenty and taking risks it a good thing. but people still want to be in their comfort zone. Just push out it

I am an early 14 years old in these types of videos because I have the feeling that I would make a lot of mistakes (more than the usual) and I'm in my research of WHAT am I going to do in life Fist of all.. -Work... Something that I am good at? Something that make me feel happy but not really successful? Something that give a great amount money? -Where am I going to live? -Family? What up with My family? Do I want kids? Am I sure that having a partner will not obstruct my way of life? -Global future. What will be of the world when I get 20? Wars? A great amount of Environmental problems that change drastically the way of living? -Goals? Will I waste time on goal progress that are unrealistic? Do I really want that? What are first? ... I know, DONT be materialistic, focus, be realistic but optimistic, and that's why I want to change the vision of life from people, but for that I have to start with mine.... I'm 14, this 3 years are the most important for my generation in the decision of what, who and how are we gonna be and make in life. I'm not scared, but worried, my anxiety sometimes tell me indirectly that I'm late, and even that I know that it isn't true I still feel it. The feeling of YOU are wasting your time right now, useless action, not productive nor efficient. And the worst of all... compare yourself with successful (depending on your vision) people I know that what I am doing it's not true or good at all, but what's efficient for you? What is being productive for you? These are the question that I want to solve (and I wish that my generation at least take it on consideration). The people around 12-26 are the next hosts of the world state, and that's why my pressure doesn't go off. *Im not a native English speaker, apologizes for mistakes

I am very thankful for this video. I did clear my mind a lot, especially the last part. I recently broke up with my ex girlfriend after 5 years, she was my first love and it still breaks my heart but this kind of motivation and view gave me a lot of power and I really want to do something to remember with my life.

well... the main problem with relationships which go nowhere is not the fear of being alone and all that jazz (i do feel alone in my current relationships in any case), but a fear of betraying the beloved one. i've been in these relationships for almost a quarter of my life, thus spent a pretty large amount of time speculating about it. so, my thought is: maybe love is not about being pleased or nor feeling alone or having all kinds of fun? maybe it's just some need we have to address, and the result will not always be like in some disney cartoon

Just to clarify for everyone, you can't avoid these mistakes. Not to be negative but you will learn from them but if you find yourself in these patterns you have to sit and revise what you have been doing and try something different. Just saying cause as this man contradicted he's made these mistakes himself. Have a good one !

6 Biggest mistakes to avoid in your 20. 1. Following unwritten rules, (People expect you doing things, taking certain jobb just because you need to). Experience, explore, enjoy, try. 2. Playing it safe (you have to take risks, there is nothing safe in life, being safe is just an illusion, you have to really find out what you really like. Live so you don't regret) 3.Focusing sole on your finical goals. (Sole on making more and more money , by doing so you scarifies manny other components of your life, like friendship, experiencing new things, learning) 4.Seeking approval , ( to some extend it is fine but not your entire life) History, manny people who achieved great things still manny haters. 5.Not traveling, not exploring ( You learn lot of things , it impacts your mindset. The worlds is much safer then what news proclaim) don't be in one place. 6. Getting stuck in unhealthy relationships ( People enter in unhealthy relationships it dosen't work. Don't stuck on it very long you have to get out of it. Suffer at short-term, so you can live better in long-term.

I am surprised "not making enough money to invest" isn't on the list. Compound interest works best in the 20s. The biggest regret of mine is to not maxing out my 401k, IRA and HSA the first couple years when stocks were cheap. Now the stock is x2 more expensive and I will never able to catch up.

The thing is this video is mostly about people in their 20s when they need to take care only about themselves, but not everybody like that. Some people in 20s and younger have their duties, taking care of parents, or other relatives. This is very - making me happy does not work, cause you have responsibility not only for your own life.

my biggest regret is that I did not go to school and go after a career and follow the path to success. When I hit 30 I had nothing to show for myself and nothing under my built. So I would say go to school and get a career even if it is one you dont love or not sure about. Better to have something then to have nothing. It is truly a dangerous would so playing it safe is not a bad idea at all. It is when you worry about danger that does not exist that is the real problem.

My biggest advice to those in their 20's is to don't feel like you have to get married. If you want to get married wait until you're at least in your 30's, unless you have already accomplished all that you have set out to accomplish in your 20's, and have really found yourself. Being married with children, brings in a lot of responsibilities which makes the realizaton of your goals a lot more difficult.

Nothing wrong with taking more risks, but I feel like world travelling is over-rated. I have moved countries and cities while getting education and for work. You get a much deeper experience actually doing something in another part of the world instead of just "travel and explore"
