Hey, lots of love from India. I am a mid level 3d student & I learn lots of things from you , But i found problems in ''converting high poly models to very low poly models'', Can u please make a proper tutorial step by step in which you convert a very high poly model into a very low poly(same model).then bake it in substance for texturing. . please Help....I will very Thankful to you.

Underwhelming - I've expected them to finally implement their aquired retopo tech that is so nice in Max.

Hey there does anyone if there is a3d model marketplace where we can buy and sell 3D models for cryptocurrencies I know there is the concept of NFTs but I’m not interested in that that instead just a marketplace like sketch fab or turbosquid but with the option of buying selling in cryptocurrencies

The ‘component tags’ which is presented as a completely new super powerful feature has been implemented in 3ds max from the very beginning, and nobody even noticed it as a feature, it has been taken for granted.. I’m not trying to say that 3ds max is good and maya is bad - I’m just expressing my thoughts - to me it’s weird that one software has some features for years and another one doesn’t, but both of them are developed by the same company which is Autodesk..
@camel2592 жыл бұрын
1 Autodesk only bought these softwares, and their developers are two separate teams. 2 There was custom components for modifiers in Maya before, they called deformer sets. Now we can play with them in two ways, as paintable sets, or in this simplified new way.
@artedesing3 жыл бұрын
Maya is great software as much as blender today i use blender because i am open source, i can’t buy maya and be a 3d artist and hope to be called by some studio or freelance, the maya price of 2 thousand dollars to dream of being called to work and made it difficult for people Autodesk has to value the 3D Artist and the studios that pay for the licenses. Let's dream heheheheh lol ...

That's kinda underwhelming for modeling side. Besides this and the previous retopo commands (that are not on the same league as those from Max) Maya didn't receive any new tools for 4 or 5 years?
@Joviex3 жыл бұрын
Maya has always been underwhelming. It is because the core modeling set was based around nurbs. After using it the last 22 years, it sucks for anything other than animation. Disney even started using Blender the last few years, and we only use Maya for Animate/Render.
@picosdrivethru3 жыл бұрын
@@Joviex really? for modeling? interesting, I don't know of any vfx houses that switched over, ILM seems to be on maya train

20 years still no usable history stack, ie boolean fillet join can u move boolean starts object no maya cannot do the fillet or the move, still no usable splines like 3dsmax and cinema4d with history try a curve boolean then a revolve then switch start curves..failed, no sculpt or paint with layers, 3d modelling in maya is just plain too slow, no grouped instances with history, program getting to be one big boredom, too slow to open the program, arnold noisey and slow to render....yes it animates and has scripting ....i just want usable nodes with history...oh and double transform the history stack killer..if you were born in 2010 you might have hope actually truth is the program needs a ground up rebuild..got to the stage i dont want to open the maya program anymore its stuck in 1992 sweep mesh 3dsmax had that in 1990, cinema 4d v1..blender v1....maya 20 years late...still cannot do a mirror symmetry with history, like 3dsmax, cinema4d and blender, i understand why vfx studios use it , i find it unpleasent to use....why all of the above is not in the program..seroiusly the only feature i like is nurbs surface loft and quad poly but i cannot use these and do a boolean fillet join with history like every other cad program in primary school.
