Summer Song \m/ Gotta love every note of this, especially how extremely precise Satch performs live.
@rickyjones72825 жыл бұрын
Summer Song is possibly the most melodic instrumental track too date!!? Every note he phrases is so rich with lyrical content it's scary!!! His blues sensibility is right up front,but thank the powers that be that he doesn't stick with the three note rubbish that so many people believe is how you play the blues!!!!

This was the first live appearance (First G3 with Steve and Eric in '97) of Joe in new style with shaved head and Oakley shades (it's also on Crystal Planet album cover) \m/ and this version of Summer Song has been my favorite \m/. Thanks for sharing Joe. Hope to meet you again soon! Joe, this is the first gig with Chrome Boy, isn't it?
@jgregorykline34575 жыл бұрын
Actually this was in Oct and Nov '96. I went to the last G3 show in Seattle that year. There is a pic of Joe, Steve, and Eric with Jimi Hendrix dad and step sister. Joe has the same shirt in this video as the pic with the Hendrix family so I wonder if this is the Seattle show. Either way it was cool to be part of it.

I noticed that too. It is like they are watching a funeral, just completely void of any joy or emotion while the band is utterly amazing and having fun. I saw one guy up front tapping his hand a little, that’s it.

So many aspects to his virtuosity. So close now to getting it right. Almost there!!! Inspired my own path to lead playing to the nth degree like so many cuz we all gotta boogie like the alien master overload every so often to stay fun, precise yet grounded too, at least a little. Otherwise there is no limit to imagination with creativity and pursuit of excellence. Satch is proof gods can also take human form like us aliens!
