I wish they'd get the Mortal Kombat movies right instead of the garbage we got in 2021. It could literally be the best action Franchise of all time with all the best martial artists, stuntmen and women and action stars ever in one franchise. Imagine this level of kasting of MK if it was taken seriously and given a proper 150-200m to make a great action film 1) Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Fire & Ice (🔥/❄️) Starring Joe Taslim as Bi Han/Sub Zero Shin Koyamada as Liu Kang Max Huang as Kung Lao Marko Zaror as Raiden Tom Wu as Shang Tsung Kane Kosugi as Hanzo Hasashi/Scorpion Michael Jai White as Major Jax Briggs Katheryn Winnick as Lt Sonya Blade Josh Lawson as Kano Channing Tatum as Lieutenant Lance John Cena as Billy "Shoe" Shaw Arata Mackenyu as Lei Shen Cary Tagawa as Grandmaster Oniro Ray Park as Smoke Gina Carano as Sareena Vin Disel as Rojack Lewis Tan as Kabal Jason Statham as Jarek Kelly Hu as Tasia Anthony Carrigan as No Face *Nathan Jones as Moloch *Glenn Jacobs/Kane as Drahmin *Mark Callaway/Undertaker as Meat *Batista as Tremor *Tony Jaa as Reptile *Sisi Stringer as Nitara *Simu Liu as Shujinko Stone Cold As Rattlesnake Michael Bisping as The Count Rampage Jackson as Rampage Black Dragon Mercs *Adrien Brody *Clive Owen *Ray Stevenson *Danny Trejo *Common *Ice Cube Forest Whittaker as Col. That 30 min homage to The Warriors in the 3rd act was absolutely fucking beautiful. The eagle eye scene that was one long take was amazing too. Caine is my favorite character, along with the dog. I loved how enemies had to fight alongside each other at times. What a crazy movie
@alexman378

Well, Caine wasn’t exactly an enemy to Wick. He was forced to go against him, but his heart was never in it. The first chance he got to get out of that situation, he took it.

I agree with you Cody Leach on this. This is one of the greatest action movies ever made. Once in while you have an action movie that just breaks all molds. This is the one. Its up there with Terminator 2, Matrix, Die Hard. Not only is the action unbelievably well written and choreographed, the acting is absolute on the money. A tremendous performance for everybody. And they are not big names except Keanu. I watched this movie half and I regret not watching in in theatres. This should be re released every year for 2 weeks for people to watch. A TV screen cannot do justice to this movie. And tells you something because it has no heavy duty CGI or VFX. Just plain action.

I took John Wick having less and less lines throughout the films as character development. This is a world that he never wanted back in. He doesn’t have very many friends left in the world. His only way out is death. I think one would naturally become closed off and quiet under the circumstances. He essentially turned into the myths about him which I thought was cool. I do agree though when given the right scene Reeves can hold his own just fine.

I was sad to hear that Lance has passed away. He played one of those impossible not to like characters in the Wick films. Yes, the film is an action masterpiece. Coordinating all that action must have been a hell of a task. Which is why they could have toned it down without hurting anything and saved themselves a lot of hardship. And shorten it without interfering with the story. The locations are unbelievable. It's one of the most beautiful movies I’ve seen in a very long time. Rich, intense visuals everywhere. It's magnificent. And a cast to make Hollywood proud.

Man, this really was an action masterpiece. The consistent, high octane stunt choreography, set pieces and cinematography was taken to another level I didn’t believe could be. This is Keanu’s staple character for me. The new addition of characters & villains were amazing such as Cane, Mr. Nobody, Marquis, Killa, etc. I was not bored for one second of this film. 10/10 for me & will definitely be top 3 of the year for me.

Impeccable from a technical standpoint but some parts did feel redundant and no one in this movie can aim to gun to save their life. I also didn't buy the main villain as that much of a threat. This is easily the best sequel but the first one is still my favorite

While I agree mostly with what Cody was saying in his first negative, something I live about the John Wick franchise is: A) They changed Keanu's most famous quote from "Whoa" to "Yeah" B) The spectrum of meaning Keanu puts behind "Yeah". Not since Clint Eastwood in Unforgiven has someone made "Yeah" sound intense & badass

Keanu should be in greatest action star of all time convos. He has been killing it in the action genre for 30 yrs now. Point break, speed, the matrix and now all 4 JW movies is a damn impressive resume for action. Just on the amount of $ his action movies have made put him in that Convo. Add to the fact that the matrix and the wick movies have set the bar for action movies to follow, makes the argument a no brainier. Dude has been doing most of his own stunts for 30yrs and hats off to him.

I am a super fan of the Wick series. I'm excited to see Wick 4. What's crazy-- they manage to pump these movies out every two years, applying the highest standards, and yet, it takes 20 years to get an Indy movie out, with an old Indy, CGI overload fx, turning it into a cartoon and an overall terrible movie story-wise, action-wise character-wise... you get me. Same with Bond. Same with Matrix. But Wick delivers every time. Every time. Thanks for the review, Cody! I'm pumped.

Is this the best live-action FPS ever? My favourite bits are when he throws guns at the guys. He never misses. And I'm sure a gun smack in the face must hurt. I wonder how many extras we didn't see because they said, "The hell with this, I'm going home!" I thought they were both going to shoot the Marquis, since he was supposed to be John's real target. Am I the only one that felt him being hit by multiple cars and falling from a height of 3-4 stories at least twice is immersion breaking that he’s like a parody of what he was in the 1st film

Really enjoyed the movie, a little mixed on the ending, and I thought they could have done more with Mr. Nobody. Also my only suspension of disbelief issue is when he fell off the ledge in the club and somehow didn't break his back on the pylon.

I know Cody is not into martial arts movies, but I think he’d likely enjoy some Hong Kong action movies, especially since they are among the primary inspirations for “John Wick” and may not even necessarily be martial arts movies, like John Woo’s “Hard Boiled” and “The Killer” or Johnnie To’s “Exiled.” There are also action movies worth watching like “The Raid” series and “The Night Comes for Us,” which, like the “John Wick” movies, aren’t traditional martial arts movies. They’re more like crime stories featuring martial arts action as well as other action styles.
